3.2.Resource Mobilization for Research 3.2.1. What percentage of the total budget is earmarked for research? Give details of major heads of expenditure, financial allocation and actual utilization for last four years. The budgetary allocation for research is determined by the funding that is received from UGC. In the recent past research grants have been received under the following heads : A. CPE Fund :

Following table shows the budgetary allocation of the funds received under CPE. Head of Expenditure Financial Actual Utlization Year Allocation Researh : 900000.00 900000.00 For the period Modernization of 2010-2011, 2011- Laboratoires 2012, 2012-2013 Research oriented 100000.00 91151.00 training/workshop Publication of 400000.00 212151.00 Jouranls Rearch oriented 250000.00 248689.00 journal & Books

Total Allocation of funds under CPE : Rs 15000000.00 For Research : Rs. 1650000.00 Therefore the percentage : 11

B. Other UGC Grants : Apart from this the college received 2 more UGC grants under the head : i) Additional Assistance : Rs 2500000.00 ; ii) Grant for Basic Scientific Research : Rs 3500000.00. Funds received through these two grants were also primarily utilized with a vision to create laboratory and other modern facilities required for an higher education institute in its research work. The entire amount received under these two heads were utilized fully.
