Cascade Mountain from the Terrace
No scenic artist could have designed a view as spectacular as that which greets you from the greensward terrace that borders the Riverview Lounge. In the immediate foreground are the tumbling waters of the Bow Falls. Behind the falls the shoulder of Tunnel Mountain masks the base of lordly Cascade whose topmost peak towers 9,386 feet above sea level. Centred in the grassy lawn, a circular bed of Viscaria, an attractive alpine flowering herb for which the terrace is noted, is a perennial boy.
