Mayor Scott and on recommendations of the CDC, the executive committee has made the decision to cancel our weekly Clinton Presidential Library physical meetings until April 30, 2020 to help limit the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) 1200 President Clinton Avenue Little Rock, AR 72201 Rotary, Tuesday, April 7, 2020 Time: Tuesday at 11:30 AM James Fallows, Author, Our Towns In This Issue Rotary Tuesday, April 7, 2020 DO NOT MISS Rotary on Tuesday, April 7, 2020 to hear James Fallows, author of Our Towns, discuss the book and bring us an Upcoming Programs update on towns across our country and how they are dealing with the COVID19 Pandemic. This will certainly be a highlight of my year as President, since I chose his book as the theme for Rotary Year 2019- Club Leaders 2020. �Together, We Make Little Rock Thrive� is our mantra each week and we are tying the content of our programs into the 10.5 Henry C. Kelley Jr. attributes that James points out as the attributes of successful President communities.

President Hank Kelly, presiding James Fallows is the son and grandson of Rotarians. He's also a longtime writer for magazine, and author of many books. His most recent one, with his wife Deborah Fallows, is Our Towns. HBO has made a major documentary James K. Gibbs film based on the book, with the Fallowses as hosts and iPast President narrators. It will be aired later this year. James Fallows is originally from a small town in inland . He studied American history at Harvard and economics at Oxford, and back during 's Dennis R. Hunt administration he was the chief White House speechwriter. Treasurer-Elect He and his family have spent a dozen years reporting from outside the United States, mainly , Japan, and Southeast Asia, with other stays in Africa, the UK, and Europe. For his writing he has received the National Book Award (for his book National Defense) and the National Ellon Cockrill Magazine Award (for "The Fifty-First State"). Secretary He has been to Arkansas many times, and among his friends in the Little Rock area are William Whitworth, long the editor of the Atlantic; Griffin Smith and his wife Libby, Griffin a colleague at Texas Monthly and then at the White House; and Gene and Diane Lyons, also friends from the Texas Monthly Christopher Robert days; Skip Rutherford; and many more.
