WOMEN IN LEADERSHIP SUMMIT 2019 GOLD SPONSOR:

Take Action

24TH - 27TH SEPTEMBER EXHIBITION PARTNER: CHARITY PARTNER:

YORK THEATRE, SEYMOUR CENTRE Back for its fourth year, the Women in Leadership Summit 2019 is guaranteed to be our best one yet!

This year’s theme is Take Action. Because while the world catches up, we need to lead the way by creating our own opportunities and helping other women do so as well.

Let’s face it. A lot of companies say they are more committed to gender equality than ever before. But this commitment doesn’t always translate into action. We still have a severe lack of women in senior roles, especially the C-Suite. We still have a huge gender pay gap, and we still see discrimination in both wages and in the workplace.

But how do individual women cut through these infuriating statistics and break into the C-suite? How can the few women in leadership create opportunities for the next generation? And how can organisations become real agents of change?

WILS 2019 is an educationally-focused event that helps you along your leadership path. Featuring inspiring keynotes, career-focused case studies, cutting panel discussions and interactive workshops, your leadership journey starts and continues with us.

We’ll inspire you to become an authentic leader, equip you with the skills and strategies to add maximum value to your organisation and show you how to cultivate meaningful change

for future generations.

What Women Need to Know to Build their Gravitas

Leaders today need gravitas to make an impact and be heard. Gravitas is the quiet confidence that takes you beyond your qualifications and experience to be the obvious choice to be listened to and heard. Your gravitas takes you further in the boardroom and in your career, and shows you to be the person to turn to when times are uncertain and decisions need to be made. What Women Need to Know to Build their Gravitas is your opportunity to make the practical and mindset changes needed to move to the next stage in your career.

You will explore how to:

By the end of the morning you will have a personalised plan to build your gravitas that will have you seen as a serious contender for major role advancement/promotion/project lead/overseas secondment/board appointments. This is a collaborative and highly interactive experience for women, in a safe environment free from judgement, censure, politics or organisational power plays.
