The fast-aging population in the communities means Yee Hong needs to expand its services and programs. In late 2019, a 10-bed hospice is scheduled to be operational in the Yee Hong Scarborough-Finch Centre. The hospice will be the first of its kind in Scarborough and also the first to be built by the Chinese community in Canada. Additionally, Yee Hong will embark on a capital campaign to build two new centres with over 500 beds in Mississauga and Scarborough. The new centres are to be built by 2022.
