Selected In 2004, incorporated and assisted in obtaining 501(c)(3) tax Pro Bono exempt status for Tau Dance Theater, a contemporary/ Work Hawaiian dance group. Served on Board of Directors for two years. Currently an advisor to the Board.

In 2002-2003, assisted a homeless Hawaiian family in regaining their Hawaiian homestead.

In 2005-2006, represented three Hawaiian and environmental organizations in an appeal of an agency decision relating to observatory development on Mauna Kea, resulting in an court order requiring a comprehensive management plan before any further development of the summit.

In 2005, part of pro bono team of lawyers that drafted an amicus curiae brief for the ‘Īlio‘ulaokalani Coalition in support of Kamehameha Schools’ petition for rehearing en banc before the U.S. Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals in the Doe v. Kamehameha Schools case.

In 1996-97, represented the Kona Hawaiian Civic Club and Office of Hawaiian Affairs in a successful challenge against the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers regarding dredging of beach and oceanfront property without proper compliance with National Historic Preservation Act (statutory fees recovered).
