Allocation of time to Government Legislative and Financial Business

On a motion moved by Shri Pralhad Joshi, Minister of Parliamentary

Affairs; Minister of Coal; and Minister of Mines, the Twenty First Report of the

Business Advisory Committee, which was presented on 16.3.2021, has been adopted by the House today (17.3.2021). The agreed to allocation of time to the following items of business as shown below :-

(1) The Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi (Amendment) , 2 Hours 2021. (Consideration and passing)

(2) The Mines and Minerals (Development and Regulation) Amendment Bill, 3 Hours 2021. (Consideration and passing)

(3) The National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research 2 Hours (Amendment) Bill, 2021. (Consideration and passing)

(4) The Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Amendment Bill, 3 Hours 2021. (Consideration and passing)

(5) The Marine Aids to Navigation Bill, 2021. (Consideration and passing) 2 Hours May be taken up (6) The Anti Maritime Piracy Bill, 2019. together (Consideration and passing)

(7) The Cinematograph (Amendment) Bill, 2019, after it is passed by Rajya 2 Hours Sabha.

(8) The Registration of Marriage of Non-Resident Indian Bill, 2019, after it is 2 Hours passed by .

(9) The Constitution (One Hundred and Twenty-Fifth Amendment) Bill, 2019, 2 Hours after it is passed by Rajya Sabha.

(10) The Insurance (Amendment) Bill, 2021, after it is passed by Rajya Sabha. 2 Hours

(11) Discussion and voting on the following Grants:

(i) Supplementary Demands for Grants of Union Territory of Puducherry for the financial year 2020-21.

(ii) Demands for Grants of Union Territory of Puducherry for the financial year 2021-22. 3 Hours May be taken up $(iii) Supplementary Demands for Grants of Union Territory of Jammu together & Kashmir for the financial year 2020-21; and

$(iv) Demands for Grants of Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir for the financial year 2021-22.

$ In 20th Report, item Nos. (iii) and (iv), were allotted 4 hours. Lok Sabha agreed to take up all

the four items together.

The President, having been informed of the subject matter of the Marine

Aids to Navigation Bill, 2021, recommends consideration of the Bill in Lok Sabha under clause (3) of article 117 of the Constitution.

Result of Election of members of Lok Sabha to the Committee on Estimates (2021-22)

In connection with the election of thirty members to the Committee on Estimates, motion in respect of which was adopted by the House on 9th February, 2021, thirty nominations were received up to the date and time fixed for the purpose. No candidate withdrew his/her candidature up to the last date and time fixed for withdrawal. In connection with the election of fifteen members to the Committee on Public Accounts, motion in respect of which was adopted by the House on 9th February, 2021, seventeen nominations were received up to the date and time fixed for the purpose. Subsequently, two candidates withdrew their candidature from the election. RESULT OF ELECTION OF TWO MEMBERS TO THE CENTRAL ADVISORY BOARD ON DISABILITY

In connection with the election of two members of Lok Sabha to the Central Advisory Board on Disability constituted under the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016 (motion in respect of which was adopted by the House on 09.03.2021), three nominations were received upto the last date and time fixed for the purpose. Subsequently, withdrawal of candidature of Shri N. Reddeppa, from the election to the said body was received. The number of remaining candidates in fray being, thus, equal to the number of members to be elected to the Central Advisory Board on Disability, the following members have been declared as duly elected to serve as members of the Central Advisory Board on Disability, subject to the other provisions of the said Act and Rules made thereunder :-

Providing Round-the-Clock Research and Information Support to Members of Parliament

A dedicated Unit namely, Parliamentary Research and Information Support to Members (PRISM) has been providing Round-the-Clock Research and Information support to the Members of Parliament. Designated Officers of the Unit are attending to the queries of Hon’ble Members and providing them the desired research input(s) at the earliest possible time. Deposit of archival/historical material in Parliamentary Museum & Archives. Books and Photographs are available in Parliamentary Museum & Archives for reference.

The Parliamentary Museum & Archives undertakes acquisition, storage and preservation of precious records, historical documents and articles connected with the origin, growth and functioning of parliamentary institutions and the Constitution of . These objects, which are part of our national heritage, are collected, scientifically treated and preserved for the benefit of posterity. 2. Members are requested to consider depositing material which they have in their possession like Private correspondence, Notes, Articles, records, Manuscripts, Speeches, Memoirs, Diaries, Relics, Art pieces, Mementos, Personal belongings and collections, Paintings, Photographs or any other material of archival/historical value connected with their career and activities as Parliamentarians and freedom fighters, in the Parliamentary Museum & Archives, FB-094 and FB-096, Parliament Library Building (Tel. No. 23034131, 23034226, Fax No.23035326) for permanent preservation and display. The material will enrich the Parliamentary Museum & Archives and be useful for research work. If desired, the material received would be returned after making necessary copies. Any secretarial assistance in sorting out and listing the material will be made available to them. 3. The Parliamentary Museum and Archives have 732 books on/by Members of Parliament. Members who are desirous of consulting these books may contact the PMA. 4. The Photo Archives too has a collection of 19,964 photographs relating to Parliamentary events and passport size photographs of Members of Parliament from 1st to including two hundred photographs of Freedom Fighters lodged in Cellular Jail during freedom struggle received from the Government of Andaman and Nicobar Island. All these Photographs have been digitized and can be retrieved with the click of a mouse through the software available in the branch. Kind cooperation of Members is solicited.
