The event was held in celebration of Singapore’s 50th birthday in 2015, IES’s 50 th anniversary in 2016, contributions by engineers to Singapore’s economic, infrastructural and societal development and 50 years of engineering achievements in Singapore. Commented Manu Sawhney, Chief Executive Officer of the Singapore Sports Hub, “We are honoured to receive this prestigious award. Singapore Sports Hub is Asia’s first integrated sports, leisure, entertainment and lifestyle destination and has placed Singapore on the world stage for its ground-breaking innovations, and architectural and engineering excellence. Ite and Singapore Sports Hub Ink Work-Based Partnership
ITE AND SINGAPORE SPORTS HUB INK WORK-BASED PARTNERSHIP Provide hands-on work experience for career head-start World-class destination and staff to help students learn and grow First partnership with post-secondary education institution Singapore, 17 March 2015 – Singapore Sports Hub (SSH) and the Institute of Technical Education (ITE) today signed a Memorandum of Understanding which will see Singapore Sports Hub provide practical working experience and hands-on learning opportunities to ITE students of all three ITE Colleges. The partnership is the first of its kind to provide students with training and industry experience to develop competencies in sports and recreation management, through a series of internship opportunities at the Singapore Sports Hub. This is aligned with SkillsFuture, as the close partnership will give students work experience and mentorship to enhance mastery of skills to prepare them for their careers. The enrolment of students began in October 2014, however today represents the official signing of the Memorandum of Understanding. As part of the three-year agreement, SSH will work closely with ITE to identify and provide opportunities in event management, sports and recreation management, customer service, business, hospitality operations for ITE staff and students to participate in. The Memorandum of Understanding was signed by Mr Philippe Collin Delavaud, Chief Executive Officer of the Singapore Sports Hub, and Mr Bruce Poh, Director and Chief Executive Officer of ITE, and witnessed by Mr Lawrence Wong, Minister for Culture, Community and Youth. “We feel privileged to be forging this new partnership with ITE today. As a principal provider of career and technical education in Singapore, they are best placed to help us nurture talent for the local sports and recreation scene. -

Jungle Ventures makes undisclosed investment in BookMyShow’s Southeast Asia business With this first external investment for the Southeast Asia business the company moves its Southeast Asia headquarters to Singapore to further its expansion in the region National, December 3, 2019: Bigtree Entertainment Singapore Pte. Ltd., which owns and operates BookMyShow SEA, today announced an undisclosed investment from Singapore-based Jungle Ventures for its Southeast Asia business. With this first external fund raise for the firm’s Southeast Asian business, BookMyShow SEA will shift its headquarters to Singapore. The capital will be used to strengthen BookMyShow SEA’s technology operations and grow its capabilities to cater to the rising entertainment demands in the Southeast Asian region. With this investment, BookMyShow SEA aims to expand its geographic footprint across the Southeast Asian market to become the leading out-of-home entertainment platform for the region. BookMyShow entered Indonesia in mid-2016 expanding operations to other countries in the region including Singapore and Malaysia this year. Prior to the grand opening, Spectra served as the County’s pre-opening operational consultant, working with the architectural and construction teams to ensure that, when completed, the venue would meet all of the County’s goals and objectives with respect to event programming, operational efficiency, bottom-line financial performance, and overall impact on The Ranch and Larimer County economy.
