UK vote on press regulation today

LONDON: British MPs are set to take a crunch vote today on press regulation, with Prime Minister David Cameron bringing the issue to a head after cross- party talks broke down. The Conservative Party leader on Thursday abandoned discussions with Deputy PM Nick Clegg, leader of the Liberal Democrat junior coalition partners, and opposition Labour leader Ed Miliband. Bringing the matter to a head, Cameron said lawmakers would vote Monday on his proposals for a new newspaper watchdog.
