My gymnastics coach gave me a large poster to bring Shalom Connects home and hang up on my wall. The poster contained a list of di#erent moves for each level on beam, floor, bars, and vault. Each time I mastered a move, I earned a Family Shabbat S ...... 2 sticker to add to my poster. Kai will be speaking about her work welcoming refugee families in Milwaukee. Kai is active in many communities and has served on the boards of Hillel Milwaukee, the JCRC of Milwaukee, the Friendship Circle, NCJW Milwaukee, SEA Literacy Project, Hands and Voices and various disability rights groups. She is a graduate of the Selah JOC Cohort 15 Leadership Program of Bend the Arc: A Jewish Partnership for Justice and the Milwaukee Outreach Director of Edot: The Midwest Jewish Diversity Project. Kai is also a co-facilitator for Nurturing Diversity Partners. Kai volunteers with HIAS and is a member of the HIAS Grassroots Leaders network.
