WWW.WATERSMARINE.COM.AU 7 REGULAR PROJECTS

Reservoir Cleaning - Since1996 - Various Councils from Melbourne to Mackay

Waters Marine has extensive experience in cleaning, inspecting and maintaining hundreds of reservoirs. These range from small 30 metre high elevated towers, to larger reservoirs up to 10,000m2 floor area and 138 metres long. Due to our method of cleaning we are not limited to any maximum size. We provide an experienced team of commercially trained divers, with confined space training to carry out the following operations in today's current climate of drought and water restrictions, the process of inspecting, cleaning and maintain- ing reservoirs can all be conducted while the reservoir remains full, thus preventing the waste of water.

• Reservoir can remain online providing minimal downtime and minimal water loss.

• Various vacuums specifically designed for the purpose of cleaning a range of reservoirs and types of sediments.

• Divers wear full face masks and dry suits to prevent any contamination of potable water.

• Equipment used in reservoirs is stored in our custom designed trailer and dedicated to reservoir use only.

• During cleaning, divers look for signs of leaks or abnormalities.

• Upon completion, a comprehensive written report, including photos of faults, is provided in the following formats – (Hard Copy, CD or PDF File)

• After cleaning, the reservoir floor is clean of silt and sediment.

• Sediment removed from the reservoir can be pumped to client designated areas, includ- ing sewer, ponds or tankers.

WWW.WATERSMARINE.COM.AU 8 Underwater Remote Operated Vehicle (ROV) - Since 2010

The term ROV means Remotely Operated Vehicle. ROV’s are popularly used for underwa- ter projects, where they are tethered to the surface, and controlled by a ROV pilot. ROV’s are particularly useful because they have far deeper depth capabilities, where divers may have limited bottom times, ability to enter dangerous and small spaces or contaminated water, and very good quality video.

Waters Marine has been using a Video Ray Pro 4 unit since2010, to inspect pipes, water tanks and other structures in dams and rivers throughout Queensland and New South Wales. We can provide a DVD of the inspection as soon as the inspection is complete for the client’s records.

Waters Marine’s ROV can reach depths of 300 metres. It has two high quality video cam- eras with still capability, adjustable lighting, two forward thrusters and one depth thruster. A manipulator arm at the front of the ROV can hold small items when found on the sea bed, or attach tools such as probes and metal thickness gauges. Sonar can also be fitted for low visibility water.

WWW.WATERSMARINE.COM.AU 9 Contamination Diving - Since 2005

Diving in contaminated environments requires protection for the diver from harmful sub- stances.

Contaminated diving requires the use of fully enclosed suits and helmets. Waters Marine has contracted to councils and abattoirs for work in sewer treatment plants, river outfalls, ocean outfalls and aeration ponds. We have provided the following services.

• Inspections and repairs of rising mains and pipes

• Plugging pipes for valve isolation

• Recovery of paddles, scrapers, pumps, and pipes

• Repairs or modification to plants

• Fitting new pump brackets in tanks

• Changing broken cables or chains on pumps

• Removing accumulated sediment in water storage tanks

• Leak detection for recycled water storages
