Lynn Wagstaff (65) volunteers at the Grapes Hill Community Garden Group in Norwich. Since 2008, working within the local community, the voluntary group has transformed a run-down 50m x 12m space into a thriving garden in the city centre. Lynn, a former teacher, moved to the area five years ago. “Volunteering is a brilliant way to make friends,” she explains. “There are people of all ages involved and some bring their children or grandchildren with them.
