Abhijit Roy succeeded in Gymnastics and Rajdeep Kundu in Table Tennis under the guidance of SAI. Soham Roy, Pratyay Kanrar, Abhinandan Jana won prizes in State level yoga. Following the appointment of Radhakanta Mullick as the games teacher, the school excelled in the arena of games and sports. Sports icons like Umapati Kumar, Goshtho Paul, Beri Sarbadhikari, Chuni Goswami, Amal Dutta, Sailen Manna, Mihir Sen, Kamal Bhandari, Monotosh Roy and Prodip Banerjee, Jahar Das, Gautam Bhattacharjee graced different sports programmes with their august presence.

The Headmaster of the institution Sudhangshu Sekhar Bhattacharya (1940-1971)was honoured as the “National Teacher” by the Education Department, Govt. of India in 1963. He received the award form Dr. Radhakrishnan, the then President of India. Next Sri Brajamohan Mazumder (1972-1999) another brilliant student of the institution was the Headmaster for 27 years. He was also honoured as the “National Teacher” in 1995. Present Headmaster Sri Sobhan Kumar Bera (2000-) was honoured as “Siksha Ratna” by The Chief Minister of West Bengal in 2013. Our qualified teachers regularly organize exhibition, workshop and educational tours to make the teaching – learning process more fruitful. They use K-yan, Maps, Charts, Models to make the classes more interesting to the students. They regularly participate in different programmes, workshops, seminar organized by different organizer The school has its own scout groups where trained guides organise parades, camps etc. from 1928. It has been continuing till date. STUDENT OF THE YEAR

Rabindranath Tagore, the world poet sent his greetings to the students of the school. Great litterateurs like Sarat Chandra Chottopadhyay, Achintya Kumar Sengupta, Kabi Sekhar Kalidas Ray, Monoj Basu and Satyen Bose, the eminent Scientist have conveyed their greetings during their visit to the school. Sports icons like Sailen Manna, Chuni Goswami and P. K. Banerjee have also called at the Institution.

In 1932 Acharya Prafulla Chandra Roy was present at the prize distribution ceremony of the school. In 1961 Satyen Bose, the eminent scientist wrote an article on the school magazine at 100th Birthday of Swami Vivekananda.
