T2400 TAKING OFF (USA, 1971)

Credits: director, Milos Forman ; writers, Milos Forman, John Guare, John Klein, Jean Claude Carriere. Cast: Lynn Carlin, Buck Henry, Linnea Heacock, Ike Turner, Tina Turner. Summary: Comedy set in contemporary New York City. Unable to deal with her parents (Carlin and Henry), teenager Jeannie Tyne (Heacock) runs away from her home in Forest Hills to the East Village in Manhattan. Larry and Lyne Tyne search for her, and in the process meet other people whose children ran away. With their children gone, the parents are now free to rediscover/enjoy life.
