The Lunar New Year, which falls on Tuesday, Feb. 5 this year, is cele- brated by Asian-American com- munities — Chinese, Taiwanese, Vietnamese and Korean — around Southern California. And for decades, festivals and parades that showcase culture and tradi- tion have been the chosen form of celebration for these communities. The overarching theme of the Tet Festival this year, hosted for the 38th year by the Union of Vietnamese Student Associations at the OC Fair & Event Center in Costa Mesa, is “Stories of Our Heritage.” “The idea is to highlight and showcase where
