TRANSIT TRANSIT TRANSIT TRANSIT Higher Order Transit in and around Burlington

• Halton Region’s Transportation Master Plan (2011) proposes a number of “higher order” transit corridors in the Region, including Dundas Street, Brant Street, Appleby Line, and Harvester Road in Burlington

• The Big Move (2008) – ’ Regional Transportation Plan – incorporates proposed transit improvements on Dundas Street, Brant Street, and on the Lakeshore West Rail Corridor in their 25-Year Plan

• GO Transit has recently increased the frequency of their train services in the Lakeshore West corridor, and is working to electrify the rail corridor, allowing for further service improvements and increased passenger capacity

• The MTO has implemented High Occupancy Vehicle lanes on the QEW in Halton Region which are available to carpools and buses
