Traditionally, Rang Mahal was the palace of pleasure and a banqueting venue specially decorated for Indian kings with intricate mirror work and the choicest paintings. The general décor was also interspersed with intricate ‘Jharokha’ or windows. The kings used to come down to the Rang Mahal to wear off their royal worries, where the best of Indian cuisine, wines and music were provided.
