Rang Mahal … The term epitomizes the grandeur and lavish lifestyle of the Indian Maharajas. Traditionally, Rang Mahal was the palace of pleasure and a banqueting venue specially decorated for Indian kings with intricate mirror work and the choicest paintings. The general décor was also interspersed with intricate ‘Jharokha’ or windows. The kings used to come down to the Rang Mahal to wear off their royal worries, where the best of Indian cuisine, wines and music were provided.
Rang Mahal, the Indian Restaurant at the Rembrandt Hotel & Suites, has taken inspiration from the tradition not only through its décor but also in the epicurean delights that it serves. At the Rang Mahal, a tantalizing mix of ethnic culinary styles has been recreated for food connoisseurs by chefs flown in from India.
