Happy 4th of July Weekend from the Fairmont Concierge team! For your convenience, we’ve put together a short list of our favorite events and activities happening over the holiday weekend. Saturday July 3rd, 2021

Mic Check Live – Free Live Music Event Where: The Far Out Lounge What: Starting at 11:00 AM and featuring performances by Bright Light Social Hour, Tameca Jones, Rickshaw Billie's Burger Patrol, Urban Heat, Buffalo Hunt, The Stacks, Tele Novella, Harvest Thieves, Animals on TV, Sydney Wright, Sour Bridges, Blue Bravura and DJ Sandoz Cowboy! Come early to enjoy muralist @Lore.Low live painting and shop local vendors including the Far Out Vintage Mall, the Psych Sisters and more! Evening light show provided by Mad Alchemy.

Bob Schneider Independence Day Bash & Fireworks Where: Nutty Brown Amphitheatre What: All-ages show featuring local crooner, Bob Schneider, at the Nutty Brown Amphitheatre featuring a fireworks show. Also performing: Lex Land, Danny Malone. Tickets available online ($35-$115). Minors do not need tickets but additional charge of $5/child will apply at the door. No outside chairs are allowed. No outside food, drinks, containers, or blankets.

Live Music by Paul Val at Craft Pride Where: Craft Pride, Rainey St. What: Free live music on the Craft Pride outdoor stage with local artist, Paul Val.

“Off Script” Comedy Show Where: Fallout Theater What: The only comedy show where you’re not only allowed to heckle the comics, you’re supposed to! Force five of Austin’s best comics out of their heads and on their toes by yelling out your thoughts on their jokes! Free pizza for all, provided by “That’s Real Comedy”. Hosted by Arielle Isaac Norman. Tickets $15 online $20 at the door.

4th of July Blues, Brews, & BBQ with The Larry Harris Band Where: Oakwood BBQ & Beer Garden What: There won’t be any sitting in with the band at this free family friendly event, but there will be some good BBQ, Blues, and Brews. Live music, BBQ restaurant, and beer garden serving traditional BBQ, signature sandwiches, and a large selection of craft beer! BBQ from 11:00 AM – 8:00 PM, band performing from 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM (weather permitting).

H-E-B Austin Symphony July 4th Concert & Fireworks Where: Vic Mathias Shores () What: Free and open to the public, H-E-B Austin Symphony July 4th Concert & Fireworks is back! Spend this Independence Day with your family and friends, decked out in red, white and blue. Head down to Vic Mathias Shores (formerly Auditorium Shores) this July 4th for an amazing event complete with a fireworks display over the city skyline backed by symphonic patriotic classics. Parking is available at The Long Center, but save yourself time and stress by making the .75 mile walk from Fairmont Austin.

American Girls 4th of July Party Where: Hotel Vegas & The Volstead Lounge What: Live music by local artists, Moving Panoramas and Mean Jolene. After party inside featuring Acid Carousel. Cover charge $10 at the door.

4th of July 90’s Hip-Hop Party Where: Hotel Vegas & The Volstead Lounge What: No cover charge and good times with “Diggy Dutch& Friends,” 10:00 PM – 2:00 AM.

Dale Watson Reopens the Continental Club Where: The Continental Club What: Dale Watson is a honkytonk hero and country music maverick, a true outlaw carrying on where Waylon Jennings left off. A member of the Austin Music Hall of Fame, he stands alongside Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson, and George Strait as one of the finest country singers and songwriters from the Lone Star State. Music critic Michael Corcoran says “It’s Dale Watson’s club (the Continental). We just two-step in it.” $10 cover at the door at 9:00 PM, show starts at 10:00 PM. No Advance tickets! This is one you don’t want to miss!

Minor League Baseball – vs. Where: Diamond What: Take me out to the ballgame! $1 hot dogs and sodas for this family friendly event vs. the minor league team, the Sugar Land Skeeters.
