REBEL ROUSERS-- UNL V Songleaders provide pre-game entertainment to nearly 6,400 Rebel fans jammed into the Convention Center for opening game against nationally ranked SW.Louisiana and nation's leading scorer in D wight Lamar. Crowd was second largest in UNL V cage history at home. Lar­ gest was in 1967 when nearly 7,000 were crammed into the Center to watch UN L V play Houston.

Complete with 6,200 theatre-type cushioned seats it has been filled several times for Rebel basketball with the largest in 1967 when UNL V hosted U. of Houston and nearly 2,000 fans were turned away at the door.
