    Pressmeddelande 2015-11-05 EERO MARKKANEN KLAR FÖR AIK FOTBOLL AIK Fotboll gjorde i augusti ett försök att få dispens för att få Eero Markkanen spelklar för AIK efter att det svenska transferfönstret stängt, nu är AIK och Markkanen istället överens om ett treårsavtal med start 2016. – Eero har exceptionella egenskaper i sin fysik och sin teknik. Det ger lagbygget 2016 en ny dimension att tillföra de egenskaperna till laget. Eero var en spelare med mycket potential när han kom till AIK första gången, han har fortfarande mycket potential och nu är han även mer erfaren, säger AIK Fotbolls sportchef Björn Wesström. – Jag är mycket glad över att vara tillbaka i AIK. Jag har fantastiska minnen härifrån och ska jobba stenhårt för att jag och laget ska skapa nya fantastiska AIK-minnen framöver, säger Eero Markkanen. 24-årige Eero Markkanen, född 3 juli 1991 i finska Jyväskylä, började provträna med AIK den 29 oktober 2013 och spelade från start i de tre avslutande träningsmatcherna efter den allsvenska epilogen. Han svarade för tre mål och en målgivande passning i dessa matcher. Ett mål med vänsterfoten, ett med högerfoten och en nick. AIK kom den 19 december 2013 överens med JJK Jyväskylä om en övergång och den 197 centimeter långe finländaren tecknade ett treårskontrakt med AIK. Den allsvenska debuten skedde hemma på Friends Arena mot IFK Göteborg (0–2) den 31 mars 2014 inför 30 650 åskådare då han ersatte Kennedy Igboananike i den 53:e minuten. Det första tävlingsmålet kom i bortaderbyt mot Djurgården (3–2) på Tele2 Arena då Eero i den 65:e minuten svarade för ett fantastiskt 3–0-mål.
