E-Talon wishes the school a great year—mask Saving Senior Year up! The class of 2021 has waited all summer in an- ticipation of the upcoming school year, the consummation of their high school career. However, many were nervous that they wouldn’t be able to spend this last year at Paul VI. The seniors are overjoyed to be back at school to finally do all the things they waited for—park in the lot, sit in senior section, and leave school early! Although things are a bit different, they are savoring every moment.

Jenn Ogden ‘21 says her favorite thing about coming back is “being around everyone again,” because she missed the PVI community so much. She says some of the schedule changes due to the virus are difficult to adjust to, but she’s overwhelmingly glad to be at school in person.

Lanie Smith ‘21 is missing giving her friends her world famous hugs! However, Lanie is so glad to be back, since she missed “being in a classroom and having teacher interaction.” She says it’s “weird not being able to see people’s smiles,” but she is happy to be able to be with everyone and learn with them, despite social distancing rules.

The upperclassmen are urging the underclass- men to follow every rule and regulation to the best of their ability—for the sake of their se- nior year. PVI is such a special community to be offering in person classes—and everyone wants to keep it that way! They have high hopes to get a prom, a senior trip, and gradua- tion.
