Congressman Ted Poe was featured May 18 in a world premiere composition by Texas composer Jason Nitsch at the Kingwood Park High School Spring Band Concert. The concert featured outstanding solists and small ensembles that also competed in the Texas State Solo & En- semble Contest May 28. Ground broken on new school

Humble ISD has broken ground on a new elementary school. The district’s 27th elementary school is being built in the Sunset Ridge subdivision near Beltway 8. The school is designed to educate 960 students and will open in August 2013.
