The Associates of The Gannett Center for Media Studies Leaders of American institutions who counsel the Gannett Center on public communication issues

A Gannett Foundation Program at Columbia University

The Associates Program

The associates of the Gannett Center for Media Studies are distinguished leaders from a variety of American institutions who counsel the Center on critical issues and problems affecting the public and the media. The associates also participate in select conferences and meetings on such topics as mass media and public trust, media freedom and accountability, and the high cost of libel.

The associates, who were nominated and chosen by our National Advisory Committee, come from fields as diverse as the arts, business, science and technology, and government. The knowledge and suggestions of such a diverse group will provide the Center an invaluable tool for identifying, examining, and, we hope, better understanding the great communication issues of our age.
