May 22, 2020 at 4 – 6 p.m. Book launch and Power Point presentation of Valentina Kuryliw’s teaching resource Holodomor in – The Genocidal Famine 1932-1933: Learning Materials for Teachers & Students at the Canadian Museum for Human Rights, Café Tables Level 1. Launch was opened by His Eminence Metropolitan Yurij Kalistchuk, Primate of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, with opening remarks by Joanne Lewandoski – President Ukrainian Canadian Congress, Manitoba Provincial Council.

October 4, 5, 6, 2019 Irka Balan and Val Noseworthy attended the Holodomor Forum at the Renaissance Philadelphia Airport Hotel in Philadelphia, PA. presented by the U.S. Committee for Ukrainian Holodomor-Genocide Awareness. The Forum featured the launch of the documentary film “When We Starve”, panel discussion, breakout sessions and presentations by leading Holodomor educators and community leaders, and a dinner and awards ceremony. A project to gather names of descendants of Holodomor victims and survivors was announced.
