INNES: Right side: ANNIE DUGUID WIFE OF JAMES INNES APR. 26 1847 JUNE 17 1879, GRACE INNES THEIR DAUGHTER MAR. 28 1878 JUNE 4 1879 On closer inspection one will see that this monument was made in Quincy, Massachusetts (USA) by the firm of Birnie and Diack. It commemorates the family of James Innes, who was a quarrier and Pass Plus Registered worked sometime in America. It has been observed that the path and the walk around the Ponds has been very well used. Feedback on the Path comment on how much safer it is and has made the walk round the Ponds more feasible for people of all ages including families.
