The scheme enables community consultation to take place and emphasises the links between parish council and the community. The consultation process identifies what the residents want—this can be from small improvements to large scale projects! At this stage it can include some items which are perhaps more of a “wish list”. How- ever from this consultation process more work is still needed on the information that is gathered so that a realistic and feasible action plan (The Parish Plan) can emerge identifying possible part- ners (e.g. councils, primary care trusts, environmental groups), actions and funders who may be able to help in achieving the aims contained within the plan.

American Connemara Pony Society Region VIII ~ Newsletter Covering: Colorado, New Mexico, Utah,Wyoming, Montana & Southern Idaho Region Chair & Editor: Susan Dudasik: [email protected] Region VIII Governor: Susan McLaughlin (970) 749-4332 [email protected] *********************************************************************** September/October 2020 #9 photo: Chris Knox from Chesterfield, ID enjoying the fall colors with one of her ponies. Can't believe we are in the final quarter of 2020. It's been a unique year to say the least. Lots of new challenges for sure. Last week we had beautiful weather and the trees were just outstanding in there fall colors. Today as I write this, there's a strong wind stripping the leaves from the trees and temperatures are predicted to drop into the low teens tomorrow night...and it's not even Halloween yet! Not ready for water tank heaters and pony blankets! Though a lot of events had been canceled, the ACPS committees have been using the time to regroup and come up with new ideas to promote our ponies and membership. There should be some new information about these things in the next magazine. They have also been working on improving and updating the webpage. Lots of new things are in the works, so stay tuned and check out the magazine. Check out our public Facebook page which can be found at: American Connemara Pony Society - Region 8 that everyone can post to. It currently has 287 followers. Not bad considering there are about 16 Region VIII members. So it's a good place to promote our ponies. Don't forget to send information for the “Meet the Members” blurb.

  • William Webber (Note 1)
Webber Families originating in the Middle Section of the Taw Valley in the late 18th and 19th centuries, (mainly Chulmleigh, Chawleigh and Burrington, plus some neighbouring parishes with close links to them). Compiled by David Knapman © April 2014 To the reader: If you find something here which is of interest, you are welcome to quote from this document, or to make reasonable use of it for your own personal researches, but it would be appreciated if you would acknowledge the source where appropriate. Please be aware that this is a ‘live’ document, and is sure to contain mistakes. As and when I find or receive better information I will add to and/or correct it. This raises two points: if you find an error or omission, please let me know; and if you propose to use the information contained here at some future point, it may be worth checking back with me to see whether the information you propose to use has subsequently been corrected or improved. Although I do not generally propose to extend the narrative past 1900, I would be very pleased to attach a note to any of the families to report that a family of 21st century Webbers can be traced back to any of the families identified here. So if you find your ancestors, and the Webber surname survives via their / your family, please let me know.
