QUALITY POLICY GENERAL This Quality Program is the mean of assuring that all items of work are in conformance with the Contract Drawings and Specifications, and describe the inspections and tests that will be performed. QUALITY MEETING The Project Manager, before construction operation begins shall meet with the Engineer's Representative or his representative on site to determine the Quality Program parameters and administrative interfaces with the Company regarding quality activities. The purpose of this meeting is to ensure that there are no misunderstandings regarding the quality control requirements for the project and to develop a mutual understanding relative to the quality system including forms to be used for recording the quality control operations, inspection, tests, approvals and certifications. Method statement will be prepared and agreed, to organise the work properly. APPLICATION OF THE QUALITY PROGRAM During the Quality Program meeting, unique project specific items requiring the addition or subtraction to sections of the Quality Program will be identified. These additions, and/ or deletions will be incorporated into the Project's Quality Program and will be submitted to the Engineer’s Representative or his representative on site for review and approval. REVISIONS TO THE QUALITY CONTROL PROGRAM Project Manager is responsible for the preparation, compilation, review, issuance, and maintenance and revision control of the Quality Program with the approval of the Engineer’s representative. This policy is based on a sincere desire to eliminate personal injuries, occupational illness and damage to equipment and property, as well as to protect the general public whenever and wherever the public comes in contact with, or is affected by the company’s work. Company management and field supervisors are charged with the responsibility for planning safety into each work task with the goal of avoiding incidents, conditions and actions that could lead to occupational injuries or illness. While the ultimate success of a Health and Safety program depends upon the full cooperation of each individual employee, it is management’s responsibility to see that Health and Safety rules and procedures are established and enforced. Safety should never be sacrificed for production. It must be considered an integral part of quality control, cost reduction and job efficiency. Every supervisor will be held accountable for the safety performance demonstrated by the employees under his supervision. The goal is the total elimination of accidents from our operations. There are three sound reasons for this goal: 1. A worthy business endeavor need not cause human suffering through disabling injury occupational illness, or loss of life. 2. A superior Health and Safety record reflects the superior professional competence and serves to promote business thereby contributing to the continued growth and success of the company. 3. Accidents increase cost, and result in a loss of profits. Our policy is to accomplish our work in a safe and healthy manner. Summary Private housing segment is the single most important segment of real estate industry in Kuwait.     SPORT DEVELOPMENT IN KUWAIT: PERCEPTION OF STAKEHOLDERS ON THE SIGNIFICANCE AND DELIVERY OF SPORT DISSERTATION Presented in Partial Fulfillment of the Requirements for The Degree Doctor of Philosophy in the Graduate School at The Ohio State University By Badi Aldousari, M.A. * * * * * 2004 Dissertation Committee: Approved by Dr. Packianathan Chelladurai, Advisor Dr. Donna Pastore __________________________ Advisor Dr. Janet Fink College of Education ABSTRACT The current study analyzed the perceptions of 402 stakeholders of Kuwaiti sport regarding the importance of three domains of sport (i.e., mass sport, elite sport, and commercial sport), and the relative emphases to be placed on each of these domains. The respondents were also asked to indicate the organizational forms (public, nonprofit, profit, public-nonprofit combine, and public-profit combine) best suited to deliver related sport services in the country. The stakeholder groups were administrators of federations (n = 57), administrators of clubs (n = 80), administrators of youth centers (n = 50), coaches of clubs (n = 78), coaches of youth centers (n = 57), and elite athletes (n = 70). The gender distribution of the respondents was 355 males and 47 females. They ranged in age from 19 years to 70 years for a mean of 39 years. The statistical procedures included exploratory principal component analysis, computation of Cronbach’s alpha, multivariate analyses of variance (MANOVA) followed by univariate analyses (ANOVA), and chi square analyses. The results provided support for the subscale structure of survey instrument modified from Cuellar (2003). Further analyses indicated that the six groups were almost unanimous in considering elite sport as more critical than the other two domains of sport.
