All youth and adult participants are expected to abide by the Code of Conduct as follows:

1. The adult leaders of the Troop are responsible for the supervision of its membership in respect to maintaining discipline, security, and the Jamboree Code of Conduct. 2. The Oath and Law will be my guide throughout the Jamboree experience. 3. I understand that I represent the of America, my Council, my Troop, my sponsoring organization, my friends, and my family, and I will behave in an appropriate manner throughout the Jamboree experience. 4. I will set a good example by keeping myself neatly dressed and presentable. The official Scout uniform, Jamboree attire, or Class-B shirts are acceptable. 5. I will attend all scheduled programs and participate as required in cooperation with other unit members and leaders (including but not limited to Jamboree shows and Events, Day of Service, STEM Quest, and Jamboree religious services of my choice – even if only as a respectful observer). 6. In consideration of other unit participants, I agree to follow the bedtime and sleep schedule of the unit, unless otherwise directed by the Jamboree program. I will prepare for the morning ahead. 7. I understand that every participant and patrol will have assigned responsibilities for cooking, cleaning, and other activities as assigned by patrol leaders, the senior patrol leader, or adult leaders. A scout is helpful, obedient, cheerful, clean, and reverent, and I’ll accept my role and perform my tasks without the need to be asked several times, and without whining. I will prepare in advance as needed to perform my tasks. 8. I will be responsible for keeping my tent and personal gear labeled, clean, and neat. I will adhere to all Jamboree recycling and trash policies and regulations. 9. I understand that the purchase, possession, or consumption of alcoholic beverages, tobacco, smoking or vaping materials, or illegal drugs by any youth or adult member is prohibited. 10. Serious and/or repetitive behavior violations by youth, including use of banned products, inappropriate behavior, lack of cooperation, cheating, stealing, dishonesty, swearing, fighting, and cursing, may result in expulsion from the Jamboree or serious disciplinary action and loss of privileges. 11. I understand that gambling of any form is prohibited. 12. I understand that possession of lasers of any type, use of a drone, inappropriate use of cell phone or portable camera device, and possession or detonation of fireworks is prohibited. 13. I will demonstrate respect for unit and Jamboree property and be personally responsible for any loss, breakage, or vandalism of property as a result of my actions. 14. Neither the unit leader nor the Jamboree Division, BSA, will be responsible for loss, breakage, or theft of personal items. 15. While participating in the action centers, aquatics, and other activities, I will be respectful to the volunteer leaders, thank the volunteers for their service, and obey the safety rules and instructions of all supervisors and staff members. 16. I understand that climate and weather can be a challenge at the Summit, and that leaders and staff cannot control the weather. I will be prepared and follow the safety instructions of all leaders and volunteer staff without whining or complaining. 17. Adult leaders and youth are prohibited from having firearms or weapons in their possession. This includes slingshots, throwing knives, or other projectile moving devices not provided by Jamboree staff during an authorized event or activity. 18. Scoutmasters and assistants will be guided by the Scout Oath and Scout Law and will obey all U.S., local, and state laws. 19. Scoutmasters and assistants must receive Youth Protection training and follow the guidelines therein. 20. Adult leaders and youth leaders must instruct youth to avoid confrontation with groups, demonstrators, or hecklers and must assume a passive reaction to name-calling from individuals or groups. Units or groups must be removed from the area of potential conflict immediately. 21. I will follow the buddy system at all times. I will stay on marked roads and trails on the Summit property. I will not go into the woods or water at the Summit except as part of a Jamboree activity supervised by appropriate staff. I will not climb trees, rocks, walls, building, towers, or any other object except as allowed at supervised activity areas of the Summit. 22. I will carry my Western Mass Councilor and Jamboree credentials with me at all times. I will program my adult leaders, SPL, and ASPL phone numbers into my cell phone. I will follow the check-in procedures established by the SPL or adult leaders. 23. Personal bicycles, skateboards, scooters, roller skates, and in-line skates will not be permitted at the Jamboree. 24. Serious violation of this code may result in expulsion from the Jamboree at the participant's own expense. All decisions will be final.
