This year was ground-breaking for Tulsa Ballet II! 2013-2014 saw the installation of retired Tulsa Ballet , Alfonso Martín, as Tulsa Ballet II Artistic Manager. Along with this addition, TBII performed its first stand- alone triple bill, On Your Radar, presented in Studio K. The end of the 2013 – 2014 season also saw three TBII dancers promoted to Tulsa Ballet’s main company, bringing the total of TBII members promoted to 13!

In 2013-2014, we had several exciting opportunities for the Tulsa Ballet Center for Dance Education. First, Tulsa Ballet is proud to offer Partners in Art and Hope for the Holidays to social service agencies in the we were happy to announce the promotion of three TBCDE graduates into Tulsa Ballet II, Tulsa Ballet’s Tulsa area. With these programs, our organization is able to provide the excitement of ballet to members pre-professional ensemble. Next, our students had the privilege of working with Ma Cong, Resident of the community who may not otherwise have the chance to attend a ballet performance. Since 2000, Tulsa Ballet has provided this program to see The Nutcracker at no cost to thousands of individuals in the Tulsa community. My husband Joe and I donate every year to ensure Tulsa Ballet’s Hope for the Holidays makes that first performance ofThe Nutcracker a reality for more than 2,500 Tulsans. It’s a special performance held each December that children and families never forget. ~ Hannah Robson

Leaps Ahead and Leaps in Motion serve as two of Tulsa Ballet’s major outreach programs. Icons & Idols is Tulsa Ballet’s only major fundraising event. In the past three Charlotte Edmundson, Advisor Gary Black Soohyun Jin Susan Parrott years, Icons & Idols has raised close to $3 million to fund Tulsa Ballet, a company of 28 highly-skilled Marian McCarthy, Marketing Kerri Bowen Kimberlee Jordan Jennifer Pilant professionals representing 10 different countries.
