Safety Basic Rider Course

The Motorcycle Safety Basic Rider Course is a public program created by the Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF) and sponsored by Southern Tech to promote safety through hands-on training and classroom lecture.

Motorcycle Safety Basic Rider Course Who should take this course? Anyone planning to ride a motorcycle. Anyone under the age of 18, by Oklahoma Law, must complete a MSF course to obtain “M” endorsement on their license. Can I get my “M” endorsement Successful completion of this course ensures you an “M” on my license after completing endorsement on your driver’s license. Driving and written tests the course? at the DMV will be waived. Students under the age of 16 are required to take “Rules of the Road” test at the DMV. Classes will begin in April and will be offered at least the first and third weekends of each month during the riding season. Riding season is from March to November. Minimum age is 14. IF LESS than 18, a parent or guardian must be present on the first day of class to sign a waiver. NO exceptions. Call your local Driver’s License Examiner’s office for more information.
