A PROCLAMATION. WlNSTEE, Governor. Whereas it is expedient to amend the boundaries of the villages of and , in the District of . Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers vested in me hy the Village Authorities Laws, 1931 to (No. 2) 1937, and otherwise, I, Reginald Thomas Herbert, Baron Winster of Witherslack, Privy Counsellor, Knight Commander of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over the Colony of , do hereby order and proclaim that from and after the 1st day of January, 1949, the area described in the Schedule hereto, heretofore reckoned within the 'boundaries of the village of Pano Pyrgos in the District of Nicosia, shall form part of the lands of the village of Kato Pyrgos in the District of Nicosia and that the boundaries of the said villages of Pano Pyrgos and Kato Pyrgos shall be altered uccordingly.'

SCHEDULE. Area to be transferred from Pano Pyrgos village to Kato Pyrgos village. The boundary commences at the most northern point of Plot No. 487 of the Government Survey Plan No. XVIII.36, locality " Zoullinaes " .which point is on a footpath and proceeds south-eastwards along the said footpath to Katouris Potamos at the north-eastern corner of Plot No. 523 of the said plan; thence southwards along the said river to the'most northern point of Plot No. 573 of the Government Survey Plan No. XVIII.44, locality " Neolimata"; thence south-eastwards along the northern boundary of the said Plot to the road leadino· from the village of Khaleri to the village of Kato Pyrgos ; thence 'north• eastwards along the said road to the most northern point of Plot No. 555 of the said plan, locality " Kiladha", at which point a footpath branches off; thence eastwards along the said footpath to the left bank of Phlevas Potamos at the north-eastern point of Plot No. 131 of the Government Survey Plan No. XVIII.45, locality " Karamaniti" · thence northwards crossing the said river, to the most western point of Plot No. 137 of the said plan; thence eastwards along the northern boundary of the said Plot to the asphalted road leading from the village 347 of to Ktima Town ; thence south­eastwards along the said asphalted road to the south­western corner of Plot No. 582 of the said plan, locality " Kremnous " ; thence northwards along the boundaries of and including Plots Nos. 582, 584, 587, 588, 589 and 590 of the said plan, Plots Nos. 210, 209, 207 and 205 of the Government Survey Plan No. XVIII.37, to the seashore at the north­western corner ofthe last mentioned Plot; thence eastwards along the seashore to the north­ eastern corner of the said Plot which point is on the boundary of the village of Amadhies ; thence southwards along the said village boundary to the southern point of Plot No. 472 of the Government Survey Plan No. XVIII.45, locality " Gridhia " ; at which point a footpath branches off; thence westwards along the said footpath· to the most southern point of Plot No. 422 of the said plan, locality " Stakes " ; thence north­ westwards along the boundaries of and including Plots Nos. 422, 418, 415, 413, 412, 407, 367, 368, 370, 371, 372, 374, 375, 385, 384, 382, 381, 380 and 379 of the said plan, locality " Phakiroudhin ", Plots Nos. 816, 820, 821, 825, 828, 829, 830, 801, 788, 785, 773, 774, 754, 753" of the Government Survey Plan No. XVIII.44 to the boundary of the villages of Piyenia and Pano Pyrgos ; thence northwards and north­westwards along the said village boundary to the point of commencement. All which said area is edged yellow on the Government Survey Plan Serial No. 1395.

MADE UNDER SECTION 2. WlNSTER, Governor. In exercise of the powers vested in me by section 2 of the Public Health (Villages) Laws, 1936 to 1948, I, the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, do hereby order that the villages of Maroni and Psematismenos shall > be added to the Schedule to the said Laws in its proper alphabetical order under the heading " Larnaca District".
