Distributive Education Clubs of America, known as DECA, is an international group with more than 185,000 students in high school and college. DECA holds local, state, and national competitions in which students individually or in teams are given professional situations and are asked to respond. They are judged on creativity, problem solving skills and professional- ism. Also many scholarships are available for students through DECA. Borgialli’s students are currently working with DECA on a community service project for the Stepping Stones Daycare Centers, 715 N 7th St. and 524 29 Rd. For the service project the students will be selling sponsorships for holes on a golf course. The funds will support the Stepping Stones Daycare Center new remodel project and the traveling expenses of students going to competitive events.
