RAIDER REVIEW: The Raiders suffered a 7-1 loss to the Pats on Wednesday night in Regina. 20-year-old winger Collin Valcourt opened the scoring 34 seconds into the game, but that Pats took over after that, tying the game minutes later before scoring 4 unanswered goals in the second period to take a commanding lead. Regina added another pair in the third to put the game away. 20-year-old goaltender Cole Cheveldave stopped 31 of 38 shots faced in the losing cause.

VS BLADES: The Raiders are 5-1-0-0 against their rivals from Saskatoon this season. 19-year-old centre Jayden Hart leads the way with 7 points, on 5 goals and 2 assists, in the series. 17-year-old forward Reid Gardiner, 18-year-old forwards Gage Quinney and Leon Draisaitl, and 19-year-old centre Shane Danyluk all have 6 points against the Blades. 18-year-old defenceman Tomas Andrlik has 5 assists and a plus-9 in the season series. 20-year-old goaltender Cole Cheveldave has 4 wins on the year, with a 2.41 goals against average and .919 save percentage while his 16-year-old counterpart Nick McBride has one victory, surrendering just one and holding a .966 save percentage.

PLAYOFF RACE: The Raiders are currently 2 points back of the and Brandon Wheat Kings for final 2 playoff spots in the Eastern Conference.

STREAK SNAPPED: 18-year-old pivot Leon Draisaitl was held off the scoresheet for the first time in March on Wednesday. In the first five games of the month, the German forward had scored 7 goals and 6 assists.

RARE ROOKIE: Nick McBride is the first 16-year-old to play between the pipes for a full season since Aaron Sorochan guarded the blue paint for the Raiders in 2000-2001.

DISCIPLINE: This 2013-2014 Raiders are on pace to take the fewest minutes in franchise history, breaking the mark of 946 set last season.

CENTURY MARK: 18-year-old centre Leon Draisaitl needs just one more point to reach the 100-point plateau this season, which would make him the first Raider to hit the century mark since Steve Kelly got 101 in 1995-96.

ALONE AT THE TOP: 18-year-old defensemen Josh Morrissey has set the Raiders franchise record for goals in one season by a defence- man with 27 on the year. Emanuel Viveiros set the previous record of 22 in 1985-86. The Raiders leads all WHL defenceman in goals and sits 2nd in defenceman scoring with 70 points.

RAIDERS RANKED: 18-year-old centre Leon Draisaitl has been ranked 2nd among North American skaters by NHL Central Scouting Service’s recent Midterm rankings for the 2014 NHL Draft, making him the highest ranked player in the WHL. 17-year-old forward Reid Gardiner holds down the 40th spot on the list, the 11th highest player in the WHL. TSN Analyst Craig Button currently has Draisaitl ranked 4th overall, and Gardiner going two rounds later later at 64th overall.

MILESTONES: 18-year-old centre Leon Draisaitl reached 100 career assists on Tuesday night and 18-year-old defenceman Josh Morris- sey played in his 200th career game on Wednesday. 19-year-old winger Chance Braid will play in his 200th career game tonight.

UPCOMING GAMES: The Raiders close out the regular season tomorrow night at the Credit Union Centre in a rematch with the Blades. Game Notes The Saskatoon Blades play their 71st game of the WHL season tonight as they meet the Raiders in Prince Albert, kicking off a sea- son-ending home and home. The Blades are coming off a thrilling 6-5 loss to the Swift Current Broncos on Wednesday night. The Broncos earned the comeback win in the game, coming back from 3-0 and 4-1 deficits by scoring 4-straight goals in the second pe- riod. The eventual winner was tallied by Colby Cave, who netted his 32nd of the season on the powerplay with 21 seconds to play in the game. Saskatoon were led offensively by Ryan Graham and Swift Current's own MacKenzie Johnston, who each had 2 points. Graham Black led Swift Current with a goal and 3 assists.

Former Teammates Do Battle

This weekend's home and home features a number of players facing old teammates, with a total of 6 players having played for both the Blades and Raiders this season. Each team has three players who have suited up for both teams in 2013-14, including defence- men Dylan Busenius, MacKenzie Johnston and Tyler Dea on the Blades and Collin Valcourt, Graeme Craig and Ryan Coghlan on the Raiders.

Scherbak's Final Showing

Saskatoon Blades leading scorer Nikita Scherbak is looking to end the season and his NHL Draft year on a high note.
