Announcement regarding the Leader of the Opposition The Chairman made the following announcement:— ―I have to inform Members, that consequent upon his re-election to the Rajya Sabha with effect from the 3rd April, 2012, I have accorded recognition to Shri Arun Jaitley, Member and Leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party in the Rajya Sabha, as the Leader of the Opposition in Rajya Sabha with effect from the 3rd April, 2012.‖ 6. Panel of Vice-Chairmen The Chairman announced that the Panel of Vice-Chairmen has been re-constituted w.e.f. 19th April, 2012 with the following Members:— 1. Prof. P.J. Kurien; 2. Dr. E.M.
