Pegasus, a leading Turkish Low Cost Company, Selects Ingenico’s Mobile Payment Solution

Paris – September 13, 2012. Ingenico (Euronext : FR0000125346 - ING), leading worldwide provider of payment solutions, today announces that it has been selected by Pegasus, a leading Turkish company, to provide payment devices and shared POS environment for mobile on-board sales services, automating all manual operations and providing significant time saving.

Pegasus Airlines avoids complicated and time-consuming on-board sale operations and can make out sales slips and invoices directly from the device-integrated printer, with the approval received from the Ministry of Finance.

With this new development, Pegasus continues to make a difference in the flights through its innovative approaches. has made the first “low cost” model real in and besides safe, timely and economic flights, offers the freedom to its guests to buy any service in return for reasonable prices and rendered on-board paid services more systematic through the co- operation with Ingenico.

Pegasus enables cabin crew to use the time more effectively by handling stock control, sale and payment operations over a unique channel by the application developed on the Ingenico device. Due to the fact that the manual reconciliations are not carried out within the new system, mistakes and losses are prevented by forwarding the sales to head office following flights and they are accounted right away. The most striking aspect of the project is that the approved sales slip by the Ministry can be extended over the device so hand-made invoices are replaced with the printouts from the integrated printer. Starting with 200 devices, Pegasus plans to integrate loyalty programs through campaigns such as installment and bonus.

Pegasus Catering Manager, Didem Köksal, stated: “It is of prime importance to use the flight time effectively to provide the necessary services to all travelers. The greatest disadvantage of the manual system was the limited time period left for sale and service. Ingenico enables use of automation so our cabin crew doesn’t have to enter the sales data manually nor to carry out reconciliation after flight. And thanks to the time saved, our crew has more time for guests during flights. In this way we enhance our service quality standard.”
