ROCK / PSYCHEDELIC / BLUES- REPRESS ARG ROCK A1 "Rock of the lost woman" is the fifth and last studio album by the Argentine group Los Gatos, released in A2 1970 by the RCA Vik record label. After a first estrangement from the band, the rest of the group, except Litto Nebbia, traveled to the United States in search of new musical influences in 1969. This brought enough A3 changes in the band, the group will leave aside the beat rock to transform Its sound in something much A4 more bluesy and harder rocknroll. The songs "Rock of the lost woman" and "Woman of coal", among others, prove it. This LP with the passage of the years would be considered the best of Los Gatos and one of the B1 best of Argentine national rock. Originally the album was going to be titled Rock of the rotten woman, but B2 by problems of the censorship had to change it. According to Nebbia himself "the record company seemed very aggressive and I changed the title. At that moment I thought it was fine, that the essence B3 was the same". As its name indicates it is composed of one side recorded in studio, without the intervention of A2 Pappo, with Toth on guitar and Nebbia on bass . Side 2 of the original edition contained songs recorded A3 live on December 4, 1970 at the Teatro Odeón in Buenos Aires. At the beginning of 1969 Los Gatos A4 separate momentarily. For nine months, all members of the band, with the exception of Nebbia, traveled around the United States, getting to know the local music, listening to the "greats of the moment" and even B1 recording a simple with an American singer, unpublished. In the interim, Nebbia began his solo career, B2 filming the movie "The Strange Long Haired" and releasing his first solo LP. Los Gatos would return to the B3 following year with "Beat N-1", with Pappo in the place of Kay. This album clearly shows the two styles> the melodic of Litto (in "Dream and run") and the rocker that imposed Pappo ("Home"). "Rotten Woman Rock" B4 was the title for the next LP, but due to censorship issues it would be changed to "Lost Woman-s Rock" B5 (1970)

On a Saturday morning at the start of November 2013, First Word Records took 3 of our favourite producers A1 out of London to spend the day browsing through the vinyl shelves of the biggest record nerd we know - the incomparable Mr Thing. This was the culmination of an idea that first manifested itself on Record Store Day 2012. Like most ideas it was a natural conclusion to a conversation about records and music - B1 kidkanevil had expressed a desire to dig through Mr Thing's sizeable collection for some inspiration. Chatting to Mr Thing it seemed unfair to limit this to only one producer - Tall Black Guy and Eric Lau were top of our wish list. So - a double 7" (Mr Thing would make a beat too - they are his records after all) in time C1 for Record Store Day 2013 (yes, we're a year late). There was however one stipulation about the records from the usually mild-mannered Mr Thing: 'The guys can sample anything they like, but Nothing Leaves The D1 House....' And who were we to argue..... The result is four tracks that celebrate our love for record digging, sample chopping and the simple love of a dope beat
