Rodolfo Machado was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in 1942 and is a citizen of the United States, where he has resided since 1968. Rodolfo received his Diploma in Architecture from the Universidad de Buenos Aires in 1967. During the academic year 1967-68, he studied urban design at the Centre de Recherche d’Urbanisme, in Paris, France and in 1971 received his Master of Architecture degree from the University of at Berkeley where he continued doctoral studies in architectural theory until 1973. Rodolfo practiced architecture in San Francisco, California and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania before associating with Jorge Silvetti in 1974 with whom he incorporated the practice in 1985.

Vietnamese-German University Rodolfo has served as a juror for a number of national Asian Art Study Center at the Ringling Museum of Art and international competitions and prizes. In 1995, he curated an exhibition entitled “Monolithic Architecture” at The Ruth and Elmer Wellin Museum of Art the Carnegie Museum of Art, Pittsburgh. His drawings and Forty West Mixed-use Development projects have been extensively published and exhibited in Aeon Residential Development museums and galleries around the world. Jorge Silvetti was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, where he received his diploma in architecture from the University of Buenos Aires. He continued studies at the University of California, Berkeley, receiving his Master of Architecture degree and pursuing post graduate work in the area of architectural theory and criticism. Jorge began working informally with Rodolfo Machado in 1974, formally incorporating in 1985.

In addition to his practice, Jorge has served as a juror for the Pritzker Architectural Prize from 1996 to 2006, and in 2000 he was juror for the Mies van der Rohe Prize for Latin American Architecture. In total, he has received ten Progressive Architecture awards—many Jorge Silvetti in collaboration with Rodolfo Machado—and was the Principal first person to receive awards in all three categories (architecture, urban design, and research). In 2018, Background Jorge was the individual recipient of the AIA/ACSA Topaz Masters of Architecture 1969 Medallion for Architectural Education. Jeffry Burchard is an Architect and Urban Designer. As a Principal at Machado Silvetti, Jeffry is involved in all aspects of the practice, from design to administration, including serving as the Director for Communications and Competitions. In all roles Jeffry brings great enthusiasm for architecture, urban design and the qualities of space and form. He has special expertise in the reuse and transformation of existing buildings, material fabrication, contextual investigations, advanced geometry, parametric tech, smart energy, historic and formal analysis, and representation.

Jeffry joined Machado Silvetti in 2008 as the Senior Designer for the New York University Global Center for Jeffry Burchard, AIA Academic and Spiritual Life. This project, clad in a pre- Principal fabricated, unitized, laminated and perforated stone rain-screen façade received an Honor Award in Design Background Excellence from the Boston Society of Architects in 2014. Master in Architecture with Distinction 2008 Since this time he has been collaborating with Jorge Harvard University Graduate School of Design Silvetti, Rodolfo Machado, and the other Principals on Bachelor of Science & Master in Architecture 2006 small and large projects throughout the world. Currently, University of Idaho he is the project architect for Museum of Years at Machado Silvetti 12 Art and the project director for a new Innovation Center Current Role at Machado Silvetti: for Syracuse University. He is also actively involved in Partner and Principal several other museum and institutional projects including Member: American Institute of Architects the Denver Art Museum and the Vietnamese-German Registered Architect: MA, NY, CO, GA, TX, VT University in Binh Duong Province, Vietnam. Since 2012 Jeffry has been a visiting faculty Alamo Museum and Visitor Center member at the Harvard GSD where he offers instruction in Core Architecture Studios, advises thesis students, and Cary Downtown Park is involved in various administrative committees. As a Principal with twenty four years of experience in the field and almost twenty years at Machado Silvetti, Stephanie has a diverse portfolio of cultural and educational projects. She is currently working on a new Museum and Visitor’s Center for the Alamo and is finishing the Denver Art Museum’s North Building Project which includes the extensive renovation of the 1971 Gio Ponti-designed North Towers and the design and construction of a new welcome center at the heart of the campus. Stephanie has a wealth of experience managing complex projects throughout all phases of design and construction. Her most recent efforts have had a focus on master planning and programming for arts and cultural facilities as demonstrated through her work on projects Stephanie Randazzo Dwyer, AIA such as the Chazen Museum, the Kennedy Theatre and Principal Studio Arts Building at Hamilton College and The McNay Museum of Art. Background Master of Architecture, 1995 Stephanie received a Bachelor of Professional Studies State University of New York at Buffalo in Architecture in 1993 and a Master’s from The State Bachelor of Professional 1993 University of New York at Buffalo in 1995. Denver Art Museum Denver, Colorado - Opening June 2020 A major renovation and enhancement of the Denver Art Museum’s Gio Ponti-designed Martin Building, the only building by the Italian modernist built in North America, and creation of the Museum’s new Sie Welcome Center. The project unifies the architectural diversity of the Denver Art Museum campus and knits together the larger urban ensemble of notable buildings in Denver’s Cultural Center—creating a new center of gravity for the neighborhood and the city. Asian Art Study Center at the Ringling Florida State University, Sarasota, Florida - Completed 2015 An addition and ‘gut renovation’ to the West Wing galleries of the historic Ringling museum complex. The renovation converts approximately 18,000 square-feet of existing gallery space from temporary exhibition space to permanent galleries for the museum’s growing Asian collection, while a 7,500 square-foot terra cotta-clad addition provides new temporary gallery space and a multi-purpose lecture hall. UNT College of Visual Arts and Design University of North Texas, Denton, Texas - Completed 2019 A renovation and significant expansion to unify one of the largest art schools in the country in a 220,000 square-foot state-of-the-art facility that sets a new standard in studio, workshop, and teaching spaces for innovative interdisciplinary arts and design education. Designed to share a common structural grid with the renovated existing building, the addition creates a central courtyard sized to hold the entire student body, comprised of over 2,000 students. Building Z Polo Dot Office Park, Buenos Aires, Argentina - Completed 2019 The adaptive re-use and vertical expansion of a 1930s factory building to create flexible work space designed to accommodate a broad range of work environments in response to ever-evolving office technology and contemporary social paradigms. Vietnamese-German University Binh Duong Province, Vietnam - Under Construction Machado Silvetti is the Master Planner for this campus, and Design Architect for the 3,519,800 square-feet of built area that includes laboratories, classrooms, food-courts, sports halls, administrative spaces, and dormitories for 12,000 students. Tun Razak Exchange Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia - Under Construction Machado Silvetti developed the masterplan for Tun Ruzak Exchange (TRX), currently under construction, in the heart of Malaysia’s capital city. The new 75-acre city district will accommodate international financial institutions, regulatory bodies, as well as residential, cultural, and retail spaces.
