The Centre for Public Law of the ILS Law College invites you to a two-day National Seminar on “Political and Judicial Perspective on Electoral Reforms in India” Dates : 6 – 7 September, 2013 (Friday and Saturday). Venue : Pandit Auditorium, Laxmi Building (behind pavilion at foot of the hill), ILS Law College. We have invited Smt. Neela Satyanarayan (State Election Commissioner of ) to inaugurate the Seminar. Other invited speaker dignitaries include Dr. Suhash Palshikar (Professor, Department of Political Science, University of Pune), Mr. N Gopal Swami (Former Chief Election Commissioner of India), Dr. Parag P Tripathi (Senior Advocate, Supreme Court, Former Additional Solicitor General), Mr. Ram Jethmalani (Senior Advocate, Supreme Court), Mr. Ajit Abhyankar, (Secretariat Member of the State Committee of CPI(M), Maharashtra), Mr. Girish Bapat, (Member of Legislative Assembly, Maharashtra), Smt. Abstract of not more than 300 words should be mailed before 20 August 2013 to the organizers of the Seminar at [email protected]. If your Paper can be accepted, we will inform you by reply e-mail before 22 August 2013.

1 If you receive intimation of acceptance, you can submit your Research Paper or Presentation on the date of the Seminar with a copy of our email of acceptance. You will make your presentation in the time allotted to you (8-10 minutes) during the technical sessions on 6th September, 2013. If your paper or presentation is not accepted, you can still attend the Seminar. Your Paper or Presentation shall be submitted as follows : Soft copy and one hard copy on A4 paper. MSWord (2000-2007). Font: Times New Roman; Text: Size – 12; Footnotes Size – 10. Text – justified. Line Spacing: Text: 1.5; Footnotes: Single. Important Dates Last date of Abstract submission: August 20, 2013. Notification of acceptance: August 22, 2013. Last date of registration: August 31, 2013. Submission of Research Paper or Presentation: On 6 September 2013 before the Seminar. Fees and Registration You can submit the registration form (given below) and fees before 31 August 2013. Fees for the Seminar: For Faculty Rs. 1000/-, by Demand Draft in favour “The Principal, ILS Law College, Pune”.
