Milano Cellars 2015 Dolcetto

Our Milano Cellars 2015 California Dolcetto has a beautiful dark burgundy robe. The nose is full of black cherry, raspberry, prune, dry herbs, thyme and brown sugar. This is a sweet with very generous fruity fl avors. The mouth is packed full of young healthy antioxidants from the tannins in the fruit. The attack is bright, sweet and round. This wine lingers in your mouth for quite a while. The wine has a noticeable weight on the palate as a result of the sweetness counterbalanced by a good amount of acidity. The balance between all these elements produces very good ageing potential.

Enjoy this wine with numerous pasta dishes like ravioli or lasagna, calzone or homemade cooked in a wood burning oven. Try it with the featured recipe: “Tomato, Goat Cheese and Rosemary Tart.”

INGREDIENTS DIRECTIONS

1 refrigerated pie crust, (from 1/4 teaspoon McCormick® Preheat oven to 400°F. Prepare crust as directed on package. Place on 14.1-ounce package) Black Pepper, Coarse Ground foil-lined baking sheet. Mix rosemary, garlic powder, oregano, pepper and sea salt in small bowl. Mix cheeses and 1 teaspoon of the herb 1 1/2 teaspoons McCormick® 1/4 teaspoon Sea Salt from mixture until well blended. Rosemary Leaves, fi nely McCormick® Sea Salt Grinder crushed 2 ounces goat cheese, (chèvre), Spread a thin layer of cheese mixture over crust to within 1 1/2 inches 1/2 teaspoon McCormick® softened of edges. Arrange tomatoes over cheese. Sprinkle with remaining herb mixture. Fold about 1-inch edge of crust up over tomatoes, pleating or Garlic Powder 1/4 cup light whipped cream folding crust as needed. 1/2 teaspoon McCormick® cheese Oregano Leaves 2 medium tomatoes, thinly sliced Bake 20 minutes or until crust is golden. Cool 5 minutes. Cut tart into 8 wedges. Serve warm or at room temperature.
