Part of the CD PROJEKT S.A. group (responsible for the global success of video game series), GOG.com is a digital distribution platform, which serves millions of gamers worldwide every month with a catalogue of over 1000 games from 300+ partners including the top big publishers and smaller indie studios. With the introduction of GOG Galaxy we are looking to expand our gaming catalogue further and in order to achieve this goal we are looking for a Business Development Director.

YOUR MISSION: To lead the bizdev team and bring the best of PC, Mac and games to

Page 1 of 3 GOG.com by building and maintaining close relationships with both developers and publishers from indie to the big guys.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Lead and develop the highly functional GOG.com bizdev team. Establish and maintain close relationships with all key developers and publishers across the world. Identify, negotiate and sign the best games for GOG.com’s audience and then work with the rights holders hand-in-hand to support their releases on our platform. Evangelize GOG.com and GOG Galaxy SDK to developers and publishers with the goal of GOG Galaxy being implemented across all new releases. This would include dedicated presentations as well as co-organizing our presence and showcasing GOG Galaxy at the key developer events across the world. Perform regular business development tasks like running P&Ls, managing accounts, travelling across the whole globe. Along with our growth, being able to find the best talent and grow your team to handle increasing business development and GOG Galaxy’s evangelizing workload. Daily communication with the GOG.com U.S. (based in Venice, CA) team to ensure close collaboration and synchronization on global business development operations and company’s strategy. This would include regular trips to our US office.

REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum 2 years of experience in business development area as a Head/Director. The more international the experience, the better! Passion for games and gaming culture with good understanding of the digital distribution scene, its key players and trends. Broad knowledge of the developers and publishers scene. The recent and upcoming hits? The hidden gems? You need to know them all! Honesty, passion, creativity. These are not only our values, but the adjectives that describe your profile best. A highly collaborative, proactive and hard working approach with the ability to self motivate within an entrepreneurial environment and without a heavy corporate structure. Solid organization skills, combined with an ability to prioritize your work to meet deadlines. Ability to handle P&Ls and treat numbers as your friends. Ability to travel, including international travel.
