While the 2019-20 academic and athletic year is underway, we wanted to take time to celebrate the achievements of our student-athletes, coaches, staff and programs in 2018-19.

Eighty-one student-athletes earned degrees last year, 67% of SMU student-athletes currently hold cumulative GPAs of 3.0 or higher and over one-third of all SAs have GPAs of 3.5 or better. In the 2018-2019 season, we had eight All-Americans, six American Athletic Conference Players of the Year, 74 All-Conference award winners and three Conference Coaches of the Year, with nine programs advancing to the post-season.

Past accomplishments should serve as a source of pride in the present and motivation for an even greater future. Together we will position our athletics program as the best in the American Athletic Conference.

I invite you to contact me if you have questions, suggestions or concerns regarding the direction of SMU Athletics. Your feedback is important and appreciated.

Go and Pony Up!

PRIORITY RANKINGS All season ticket holders and Mustang Club donors have a priority ranking determined by their giving level and number of priority points. Priority points are earned through donations, ticket purchases, attendance at athletic events and the longevity of your support of SMU Athletics. A donor’s ranking is determined by your giving level first, and then by priority points within that giving level. To increase your rank, you are encouraged to give at the highest level possible, as giving level is prioritized over points. The priority ranking system is used to award and allocate tickets for high- demand events such as championships, post-season tournaments, bowl games, away competitions and amenities such as luxury suites, premium seating, parking and hospitality accommodations.

A CULTURE OF GENEROSITY When you give, you not only join a family of other Mustang Club donors, you partner with all 484 student-athletes and all athletic department staff members who also gave this year. In 2014, SMU became the first athletic department in the American Athletic Conference to achieve 100% giving participation from its student-athletes. This standard has been upheld every year since that time.
