OPIP 3.6.3 TRAFFIC CONTROL ; ' l.0 PURPOSE This procedure describes the traffic control operations of the Local Emergency Response Organization (LERO) during a radio- logical emergency at the Shoreham Nuclear Power Station (ShPS). These operations are performed to optimize traf fic flow out of the EPZ during an evacuation. i 1 2.0 RESPONSIEILITY i ' 2.1 The Evacuation Coordinator is responsible for coordination of evacuation-related activities, including traf fic control. j ; 2.2 The Traffic Engineer is responsible for assessing the ef fect of road impediments on evacuation flow and recommending rerouting of traffic to an alternate route ; as necessary.
