t’s well known that Florida is recognized across the country as the Ibiggest battleground state in this year’s election — with its 29 electoral votes and historically tight election results.
The state’s outsized role this year and the final push to Nov. 3 is not lost on Equality Florida. The influential LGBT advocacy organization stated this month that the Sunshine State has “the most important political real estate” in the U.S. So EQFL has made a bold move — hiring new staff that now comprise the largest elections team in its 23-year history — a total of 16 field organizers and field fellows across the state.
