“Chris, I just wanted to say a huge thank you for the hampers and gifts CCP provided for the families I put forward; on delivering them to the families they were overwhelmed and so thankful. Thank you (and all the team) for the support.” Happy New Year! I would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for donating to this year’s hamper scamper appeal. The response we have had this year has been totally overwhelming. If it wasn’t for your support then we wouldn’t be able to transform as many people’s Christmas as we do, so again a massive thank you. In the new year I receive lots of letters and thank you cards from the people who received a food hamper or gifts and many tell me that without this support Christmas would have been a much worse time not just for them but for the whole family. This appeal makes such a positive difference at Christmas, whether it was a child receiving a new gift for the first time in years which they can’t wait to tell their friends about or someone who won’t see anybody over Christmas that received a food hamper from us. This appeal transforms Christmas for so many vulnerable people which is extremely powerful and can mean the world to someone young or old! This year, we have distributed 1671 hampers, which is an increase of 45% on 2016. We believe the need in recent years has increased due to economic issues, but we also have the knowledge that a lot of this need has been there for many years and now due to the size of the appeal we are able to meet this need. Hamper Scamper is a CCP appeal which now over 70 other organisations refer their clients into. All of whom work tirelessly with their clients throughout the year helping them to live independently and break out of the cycle of poverty, debt and deprivation. A thank you from Chris This year we have had a record number of supporters from businesses, churches, schools, activity groups & individuals. I would like to give a special mention to a few who have gone above and beyond this year: Zurich for giving us the space to deliver the appeal from, Printwaste & GB Solutions for encouraging all of their clients to support the appeal, Circle 2 Success for promoting the appeal to all C2S members, Eurolink for providing 4G mobile communications, Smart Computers for providing all IT equipment, Elmrep for providing a Printer/copier, All about Freight & Go Transport for both providing the use of a van and a man. On a personal note, I would not be able to deliver this appeal if it wasn’t for the support of my Hamper Scamper team (Little Elves), so a massive thank you to Malcolm, Louise, Clarisse, Phillip, Sharon, Sean and Shannon. I look forward to seeing you all again later this year; Christmas isn’t far away after all!
