An American Comes To Tours...

A great surprise for the final of the FIM SuperEnduro World Championship at Tours, next Saturday (March 9th) is that brilliant young American Kyle REDMOND (KTM) will be a "Guest star" at the event and will battle with all the usual European riders for the win....

Kyle REDMOND is one of the best American Extreme Enduro riders. He is quite used to Endurocross, which is effectively SuperEnduro but USA style! He managed his first lap at the age of 3 on a PW 50 and after many years of "Trail Riding" the Californian racer from Lake Hugues took part in his first race at the age of only 17, while many rivals already had many seasons of experience behind them. He immediately showed real positivity and made rapid progress by lining up for his first Baja desert race. His riding style is much more suited to technical terrain however. A riding style that he has gradually refined with the advice of his friend Kurt CASELLI, another U.S. rider who is well known in Europe.

Quite reserved in the Paddock, this young 24 year old American (born 14/06/1988 in Burbank, California) shows a sharp contrast on the track where his fighting spirit and sense of control are amazing. Kyle REDMOND began Endurocross in 2010 with a promising fifth place overall in the American Championship (2nd in Indianapolis). He finished 7th in 2011 and after a difficult season in 2012 (also 7th) he is highly motivated for 2013. For this event, he will be looked after by the RPM Racing Team and will be riding a KTM on MAXXIS tyres.

Kyle REDMOND (USA - KTM) Kyle REDMOND loves to travel and has already taken part in other European extreme events such as Red Bull Romaniacs (4th) and the Erzberg Rodeo in (5th) where he had the opportunity to battle with Taddy BLAZUSIAK, the current SuperEnduro championship leader. Taddy BLAZUSIAK considers Kyle REDMOND as one of the most promising riders in this sport... He will also team up with Taddy BLAZUSIAK in Tours and it is the Official KTM Racing Team that will provide the talented Californian a KTM 350 factory bike!

Can Kyle REDMOND score his first career podium? ... Will it become reality on March 9th at Tours?
