Western Bulldogs NGA – Talent ID Volunteers

The Next Generation Academy is in the process of further strengthening its Talent Identification processes across the WB NGA Inner West Academy.

The Bulldogs currently deliver an Under 15 Boys Academy Program that runs for the duration of Term 1, culminating in a match program during the Term 1 School Holidays. Players are selected to participate in the program from the Brimbank, Hobsons Bay, Maribyrnong and Melton municipalities who posess AFL talent pathway attributes and capabilities. The WB NGA will also be implementing an Under 16 Girls Academy in the second half of 2019.

We are now seeking a number of volunteers to assist in the Talent Identification across the WRFL, EDFL and RDFL throughout Season 2019 that will lead to the 2020 intake of participants for our Boys Academy and the 2019 intake for our Girls Academy.

We are looking for individuals to volunteer their time in the following Leagues:

• Western Region Football League • Riddell District Football League • Essendon District Football League

The successful candidates will posess the following qualities and be passionate about the development of talented young footballers;-

• A strong understanding of the talent player pathway • An eye for talent and the ability to assess key attributes that are linked to AFL talent pathways • Attention to detail with the ability to compile talent reports • Ability to attend local football matches across the WB NGA Inner West Zone along with AFL Metropolitan Championships • Experience in coaching junior football is desirable but not essential

The successful applicants would be required to have or have the ability to obtain a Working with Children’s check.

Training will be provided by the Western Bulldogs List and Recruiting Team.
