What’s New • Improved readability for read/un-read emails • Intel platform support • Security enhancements • This release supports an increased policy-length restriction for policy messages. In previous versions of Good Mobile Control and this client, compliance policy messages were restricted to 8k in size. This limit can break compliance policy checks for Android devices when the size of the policy is very large. This release removes that limit for Android devices. This flaw was reported by independent security researchers and acknowledged by Google. The flaw results in improper seeding of the SecureRandom number generator, reducing the entropy of the random number being generated. This release ensures that the Android SecureRandom number generator is properly seeded. (GFEANDROID-3203) Customers concerned about a very motivated, highly funded and sophisticated attacker compromising their existing Android devices are advised to take the additional step to re-provision the devices of concern using Good Mobile Control. Workaround: Force stop and restart Good Share. GFEANDROID- SMIME [Tablet] Verification/encryption hangs after switching to a 2619 different tab and back during the process.

GFEANDROID- SMIME Embedded image is missing on device after forward/reply of 2622 signed email.

GFEANDROID- SMIME Good For Enterprise app does not respond or crashes when 2629 decrypting or verifying a large signed email.

GFEANDROID- SMIME Send button is grayed out when trying to forward an email with 3241 security option set to signed or encrypted. Workaround. change the email type to Normal and then back to the desired secure type. This will cause the email to be rechecked for completeness and the Send button to be enabled if the email is fully downloaded. GMMSEXC-943 SMIME Attachments are missing in signed email.

GMMSEXC-974 Compliance If a handheld that is out of compliance with a Prevue GE app is moved to a new GMC which allows that app, the handheld will remain out of compliance. Workaround: reprovision the handheld on the new GMC. GMAANDROID- GMA There is nothing listed out when run debug command 613 “debug://listfailedhosts” if access website which has some image was blocked.

GMAANDROID- GMA Clicking a link in email before accepting the webkit’s EULA will 751 crash the app.

GMAANDROID- GMA A website launched from an email link will not load if the tab max 823 has been reached and the replaced tab is to access an authentication website with login required. GMAANDROID- GMA Adding a new tab to access a blocked URL results in an ANR 824 message (Application Not Responding).

GMAANDROID- GMA Error 401 is displayed when launching an authorized URL via 825 email link, if the tab limit has been reached and the replaced tab is in bookmark view. GFEANDROID- Connectivity In rare cases, when switching between WiFi and 4G (mobile 3364 data) with Good For Enterprise in the foreground, there may be latency while the connection is swapped. GFEANDROID- Camera [Nexus7 V2] The camera flash icon is present but does not 3460 function within Good For Enterprise, as the Nexus 7 does not provide this feature. GFEANDROID- Camera [Nexus7 V2] The camera zoom feature does not function within 3461 Good For Enterprise.

GFEANDROID- UI The Good shortcut icon may not update after an update. The 3464 icon will update after a subsequent restart.

GFEANDROID- Quick Office [Hebrew] On the device, word order is correctly aligned but 3479 paragraph and matrix column order is incorrectly aligned.

GFEANDROID- Quick Office [Hebrew] In some cases, horizontal scrolling is disabled, so that 3480 text beyond the screen margins cannot be viewed.

GFEANDROID- Email [Tablet] Saving a reply to the Drafts folder and then subsequently 3493 opening it in that folder and tapping the reply button (which should not be present) crashes the app. GFEANDROID- Email [KitKat 4.4] The To/Cc/Bcc fields in email are not clearly 3740 displayed.

GMA is not available for use in Good For Enterprise. The Default Browser choice under Preferences is grayed out. However, if the separate Good Access app is installed on the device, tapping a web link within Good For Enterprise will launch that secure browser.

GFEANDROID- Compliance Compliance rules will not as scheduled, after a device reboot. 5263 Workaround: restart the Good app.

TTMD-1750 Compliance For some devices, hardware compliance warnings may be repeated until the device is reset.

Good For Enterprise – Android End-of-Software Updates for Android 1.5 and 1.6 Devices

This release of Good For Enterprise – Android does not support devices running the Android 1.5 or 1.6 OS. Good For Enterprise – Android v1.6.3 is the last client software version that supports devices running Android 1.5. Good For Enterprise – Android v1.6.5 is the last client software version that supports devices running Android 1.6.

Aging Policy and Memory Footprint

Good client currently limits the email storage to 3500 messages total in all folders.

If over 1750 emails, Good strips body content from older emails in order shown. If over 3500 emails, Good removes older emails until below 3500 emails. 1) Deleted items 2) Sent items 3) Folders under the inbox 4) Inbox Initial OTA provisioning provides: • Last 500 emails in inbox, sent and deleted items folders. For emails over 3 days old, headers only. Manually subscribed sub-folders under the Inbox behave the same.

Devices that have both cellular and wi-fi capability must have an active cellular account in order to be provisioned.

File Type and Security

Good For Enterprise – Android 1.6.5 and later supports the following file types for download: pdf, txt, wav, wma, wpd, htm, html, jsp, xml, bmp, gif, jpg, png, tif, tiff, xls, xlsx, pps, ppt, pttx, doc, docx, rtf, zip, 3gp, pdf, mp4, mp3, msg, eml.

Good For Enterprise now includes a built-in version of SmartOffice for viewing doc, docx, xls, xlsx, ppt, pptx, and txt files on the device. This version of SmartOffice has the “Save As” feature disabled, preventing these file types from being saved outside the secure enterprise container. Other file types can be opened only if the appropriate applications for doing so are installed on the device. Administrators can block access to these other file types through Good Mobile Control if they present a security risk.
