The Parkwood YMCA summer camp provides a variety of opportunities to ensure that youth are learning and being physically active during the summer. Campers learn how to be responsible and resourceful, work in groups, solve problems and make decisions that will help them grow as individuals-all while having fun and feeling like they belong. In addition, studies show that children can experience learning loss during the summer months. The Parkwood YMCA is offering themed sports & specialty camps each week that will also include activities such as arts/crafts, movement activities, games, , field trips, science projects, reading, word games and more. We want every camper to start school telling their friends that they had the best summer ever!

All Aquatic Camps feature: A 40 minute swim lesson 4 times per week. Free time in the water daily, a key to children learning to enjoy the water and practice what is learned in the morning lesson. A weekly craft, literature time around the theme of the week and a Friday trip to Lake Lansing. Water games included!

9:30am - 4:00pm The Parkwood YMCA Sports Camps range for ages 5-12. Our sports camps emphasize basic to advanced skill instruction and practice in all areas of the sport. Campers will learn the rules of the game as well as team concepts and sportsmanship. These camps are ideal for any youth player looking to improve their skills or learn the fundamentals of the game.

Sports Camp Palooza T-Ball/Baseball Camp Spend your last week of summer enjoying the Participants of this camp will enjoy an afternoon best of Sports Camps. GYMNASTICS CAMPS

9:30am - 4:00pm Spend the morning stretching, floor work and other gymnastics activities. Then take an hour break for sack lunches and activities. The second half of the day will teach proper technique on the vault, uneven parallel bars, and the balance beam. Mondays through Thursdays will include a 45-minute swim. The week ends with a presentation for parents on Fridays at 3:00 pm.
