However, Youssef En-Nesyri climbed off the Sevilla bench to score twice in four minutes (69, 72) and snatch a memorable victory. • That kept Sevilla level with Chelsea on seven points at the top of Group E, with Krasnodar and Rennes both on one point after three games. If Sevilla prevail in Russia and Chelsea win at Rennes in Group A's other Matchday 4 encounter, both will be guaranteed a top-two finish. Previous meetings • The sides were drawn together in the same UEFA Europa League section in 2018/19, Krasnodar winning 2-1 in Russia thanks to strikes in the final 20 minutes from Mauricio Pereyra and, two minutes from time, Tornike Okriashvili after Charles Kaboré's first-half own goal had put Sevilla in front. • The Spanish side turned the tables in Spain, Wissam Ben Yedder scoring twice and Éver Banega once in a 3-0 Matchday 6 win that meant Sevilla won the section from Krasnodar on head-to-head record after both sides had finished with 12 points. Both clubs would go out in the round of 16. Form guide Krasnodar • Having marked their UEFA Champions League group stage debut with a first point in the competition thanks to a 1-1 draw at Rennes, Krasnodar went on to lose 4-0 at home to Chelsea before defeat in Seville. • Krasnodar are the seventh Russian club to compete in the UEFA Champions League group stage, and the first newcomers from the country since Rostov in 2016/17. • This is only Krasnodar's seventh season in UEFA competition – they have featured every year since making their debut in the 2014/15 UEFA Europa League. In 2019/20, they were eliminated by Olympiacos in the UEFA Champions League play-offs and went on to finish third in their UEFA Europa League section behind Basel and Getafe, picking up nine points from their six matches (W3 L3). • Third in the Russian Premier League for the second season in a row in 2019/20, Krasnodar had only played four European Cup matches before 2020/21. The first ended in a 1-0 home defeat by Porto in the 2019/20 third qualifying round first leg, only for them to then turn round the tie with a remarkable 3-2 victory in Portugal in which they led 3-0 at half-time. However, Olympiacos proved too strong for Murad Musayev's team in the play-offs, winning 4-0 in Greece and 2-1 in Russia. • Krasnodar had no such problems in this season's play-off, winning both legs of their tie against Greek club PAOK 2- 1 with Rémy Cabella scoring the winner in each game. • The Bulls have won two of their five home games against Spanish visitors (D1 L2), most recently losing 2-1 against Getafe last season. • Home and away, Krasnodar have won only two of their 11 matches against Spanish clubs, losing eight. Sevilla • The Spanish side opened Group E with a goalless draw at Chelsea before home wins against Rennes (1-0) and Krasnodar. • This is Sevilla's sixth UEFA Champions League group stage campaign, and a first since 2017/18, when they reached the quarter-finals. They have qualified for the knockout phase in all but one of the previous five participations. • Julen Lopetegui's side won the UEFA Europa League in 2019/20, beating Internazionale 3-2 in the final. It was the club's record-extending sixth triumph in the UEFA Cup/UEFA Europa League, all since 2006. • Sevilla finished first in their UEFA Europa League group last season with 15 points having won all but one of their matches, then ousted CFR Cluj on away goals in the round of 32 (1-1 a, 0-0 h) before wins in one-off ties in Germany against Roma (2-0), Wolves (1-0), Manchester United (2-1) and Inter.

BSc-Thesis – BMO Management strategies of football clubs in the Dutch Eredivisie Name Student: Mylan Pouwels Registration Number: 991110669120 University: Wageningen University & Research (WUR) Study: BBC (Business) Thesis Mentor: Jos Bijman Date: 1-23-2020 Chair Group: BMO Course Code: YSS-81812 Foreword From an early age I already like football. I like it to play football by myself, to watch it on television, but also to read articles about football. The opportunity to combine my love for football with a scientific research for my Bachelor Thesis, could not be better for me. During an orientating conversation about the topic for my Bachelor Thesis with my thesis mentor Jos Bijman, I mentioned that I was always interested in the management strategies of organizations. What kind of choices an organization makes, what kind of resources an organization uses, what an organization wants to achieve and its performances. Following closely this process in large organizations is something I like to do in my leisure time. My thesis mentor Jos Bijman asked for my hobbies and he mentioned that there was a possibility to combine my interests in the management strategies of organizations with my main hobby football. In this way the topic Management strategies of football clubs in the Dutch Eredivisie was created. The Bachelor Thesis Management strategies of football clubs in the Dutch Eredivisie is executed in a qualitative research, using a literature study. This Thesis is written in the context of my graduation of the study Business-and Consumer Studies (specialization Business) at the Wageningen University and Research. From October 28 2019 until January 23 I have been working on the research and writing of my Thesis.

The 37-year-old captained a Basque Country team that also featured fellow Spain internationals Inaki Williams, Inigo Martinez and Asier Illarramendi against Venezuela - the world's 32nd best side. As they are not an 'official' team, they are not part of Fifa's rankings - but they still won 4-2 in front of a crowd of 15,000 at Alaves' Mendizorrotza stadium https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/45834955 Page 1 of 5 Basque Country: The Spain internationals playing for a different team - BBC Sport 11/11/18, 717 AM in Vitoria-Gasteiz. "To be able to become official, it is necessary to show that you have a team capable of competing in international tournaments," said coach Mikel Etxarri. The squad is selected from players born in the autonomous region in northern Spain, as well as the neighbouring regions of Navarre and the French Basque Country. The Basque Country has a large degree of self-rule, its own language and cultural traditions, and Basque Football Federation general secretary Kepa Allica said Friday's match, their first since December 2016, was "more than a game". Players can play for both Spain and the Basque Country because the latter is not affiliated with Fifa or Uefa, but that is their ultimate goal.

  • Number #9 in the TDF Top 50
From being a small boy, I have always been a huge fan of both football and professional wrestling and at around the age of 10-years-old, I came across a monthly magazine brought to newsagents from the makers of the world famous Sports Illustrated all about pro wrestling. It was simply named Pro Wrestling Illustrated. It was a publication I regularly read as well as Shoot and Match weekly magazines to feed my football addiction. In 1991, PWI began this new craze that instantly grabbed my attention more than no other magazine had before. They revealed the 'PWI 500'. The 'PWI 500' section in the magazine listed (in rank order) the top 500 professional wrestlers in the world that year. Counting down from 500, this revealed to me many, many talents that I have not discovered as of yet. This was released every year, and still to this day is the best selling edition of the magazine each year. I studied and read and read over and over again that edition in 1991 and I came up with an idea. What if Match or Shoot revealed the top 500 footballers in the world? Thinking back to 1991, I used to love to tune into the 'BBC Radio 1 Top 40' show every Sunday afternoon too... maybe I'm a tad obsessed with countdowns. Anyways, reflecting on the idea, I thought about it each year the 'PWI 500' was released. As years went on, I felt that this would have grown into a hugely successful plan, gaining great recognition with people in the game, possibly gained its own award ceremony on TV with the emergence and exposure SKY Television in the United Kingdom was just beginning to give to the game back then.
