A Message From Your Table Mesa Coordinator We are looking forward to another great Jeep Jamboree in the Table Mesa Recreational Area. This area has a lot to offer the off-road enthusiast.

The trail system has over 55 miles of trails and encompasses almost 1500 acres. Rocks, scenic vistas, shelf roads and more will be a part of your off road adventure weekend. We are very protective of our OHV areas here in Arizona. We ask that you Tread Lightly and respect open access. We have put together a great collection of trails for the Jeep Jamboree USA Jamboree. There is a bit of variety in the area and we hope you enjoy yourself.

The trails listed are possible choices but are not guaranteed. Senator Highway • Rated 1-2 The Senator Highway is a scenic trip from the town of Crown King, Arizona to Prescott, Arizona through the Bradshaw Mountains. The trail is 40.6 mile in length but easily passable for vehicles with adequate ground clearance. The trail does become a rough shelf road in spots so your attention is required. The later sections of the trail are steep in some spots with a few switch backs and some blind corners. Travelers should take caution and drive with prudent speed. There is an historic site called the Palace Station which is a nice place to stop and look around. But please stay out of the Palace Station. It is an active administrative site for the Prescott National Forest. Expect a long day on the trail. If there is time, you may be able to walk around in Prescott and check out the sites.

Indian Fort • Rated 1-2 This trail is very short and is not being offered on its own for that reason. Usually Indian Fort is run with other trails from the area. If you have a little time left at the end of the day, you might ask if your trail guide can take you there. The Indian Fort offers a scenic view of the Agua Fria River down below. The remains of the Indian fort are exciting to climb into with a near 360 degree view of the area. The rocky wall can be observed from the trail with a staircase to the north. This trail can be combined with another nearby trail to offer a nice days drive. One steep section of the road will likely require 4 lo. Please do not disturb the wall of the fort or anything within the fort.

B Loop 1 • Rated 3-4 This trail takes you through sandy washes and up to the tops of roller-coaster-like peaks that will surely flex your Jeep. You’ll start out in a wash where you will find two waterfalls to play on. Then it’s off to the Dragon where you will be going up and down and up and down and up (you get the idea) I have 35” tires and a 4” lift yet still scraped my rear bumper when going up some of these hills.

B loop 2 • Rated 2-3 Nice set of trails to gain some trail knowledge and experience. Nothing really technical but some spots will be challenging and you will want to take it slow, a lot of variety and turns. Quite often we get to see some of the burros that live in the area, seems like the coyotes have learned to leave them alone, great southwestern scenery. We will start at the Boulders staging area, air down, and loop around several different trails and end up back at the air down area.

Hieroglyphic Loop • Rated 3-4 This trail is an incredibly scenic 22 mile long loop in the Boulders OHV area. Don’t worry, there a couple of nice rock crawling obstacles along the way. The ascent into the mountains offers steep and narrow ascents with pucker turns and descents. This is not the trail for someone with a fear of heights. It is often referred to as a slow moving rollercoaster! Low range in the transfer case and a rear locker can make parts of this trail easier. The last major obstacle on the trail is a very steep downhill and off camber left hand turn that offers a wheel in the air; don’t tap the brakes here.

Peck Mine Road • Rated 4-5 Peck Mine Road is a tour through the southern Bradshaw Mountains slowly climbing past the Swastika Mine then up to the Senator highway. The trail begins as a narrow, steep shelf road in places with a surprise rock garden and light technical 4 wheeling approximately 2/3 of the way through the trail. Once you reach the intersection with the Senator highway, the rest of the drive is smooth sailing into Crown King. This is a narrow with a lot of brush. “Trail Pinstripes” are possible.

The trails listed are possible choices but are not guaranteed. Crapshoot • Rated 4-5 Crapshoot is a trail to get the blood pumping if you do not like narrow and exposed trails. With a narrow shelf-road, a couple rock gardens, and steep ascents this is not the trail for someone who is afraid of heights. Some minor technical driving is required as well as 4lo in places. Running Crapshoot in reverse will require the use of at least a rear traction aid/ locker. Rock sliders and skid plates are recommended. The scenic views of the surrounding Table Mesa area are amazing. 31 inch tall tires or bigger are recommended.

Turkey Creek • Rated 5-6 The Turkey Creek trail is an exciting adventure that will take you down into Turkey Creek, a place rich in mining history. You may even get a visit with Miner Bob, a local miner who has welcomed the JJUSA group onto his claim for a visit and maybe some gold panning. Turkey Creek will offer a mildly challenging trail with a single moderately challenging obstacle that the trail is known for. It offers off-camber, steep, and narrow roads with scenic views of the surrounding area. The trail ends near the town of Cleator, Arizona a nice place to get a refreshing drink at the Cleator Bar. Turkey Creek is suitable for well equipped vehicles with at least a rear traction aid/locker and all-terrain tires. Expect a good day on the trail and more challenging if it’s wet.

The Backway to Crown King • Rated 5-6 The Backway to Crown King is a beautiful tour of the Bradshaw Mountains and the Prescott National Forest, starting near Lake Pleasant and ending near the small town of Crown King, Arizona. This is an adventure of varying levels of difficulty depending on driver and vehicle capabilities. There are multiple obstacles along the way, many of them optional. Over the years the route to Crown King has changed but the original route, now optional obstacles, are still there! The route includes wash crossings, steep climbs of varying difficulties, narrow shelf roads, and technical rock crawling. The trail is suitable for stock 4x4 vehicles with skid plates but expect a challenge. 31 inch tires, rear locker, and mild lift are recommended. Rocker protection is needed for optional, difficult obstacles. Expect a long day on the trail, even longer if there is inclement weather.

Terminator • Rated 7-8 Terminator is a 2 part trail (lower and upper) which is light at the beginning of the trail with obstacles becoming larger as you progress. The first main obstacle is called, “The White Line,” with a very off-camber, steep, and downhill right descent into the wash. Bypass to the left very steep, off-camber to the right, and requires multiple point turns for long wheel based vehicles to enter. The next obstacle is called “Z-turn,” with 2 main lines. A steep V-notch in the middle and a tight chute far to the right which offers a wheel standing photo opportunity, mild risk of body damage. A bypass is to the left before entering “Z-turn.” There are several moderate to difficult to extreme lines through the remainder of the trail. The exit is a very steep left hand turn uphill which is loose. Body damage is possible in sections. The second part of this trail is a continuation of the same wash as lower terminator but with bigger ledges, narrower obstacles, and technical rock crawling in places. Body damage is possible in sections. Lockers helpful especially the rear and frequent use of the front locker. Rocker protection needed.

Predator • Rated 8+ Predator offers a more difficult rock crawling opportunity for participants. There are fewer bypasses and tighter more narrow obstacles that are passable with careful spotting. This is a very fun and slow moving trail that will require the use of your front and rear lockers. There are also a few optional lines for the die hard rock crawler. Rocker protection is needed, body damage is very possible if not likely, and winches are commonly used. Requires at least 33 inch tires.

These ratings are based on the overall trail, not just on one or two tough spots. Rain can increase ratings by one or two points. Please remember, all vehicles are subject to vehicle check prior to trail departure. Numerically higher rated Jamborees are more likely to result in vehicular damage. 1-2 Obstacles and terrain are relatively easy to navigate. 10 Extremely demanding. During registration you will have the opportunity to discuss the trails, your driving experience, and Jeep capabilities with the trail guides. Educate yourself by obtaining travel maps and regulations from public agencies, planning for your trip, taking recreation skills classes, and knowing how to use and operate your equipment safely.

Avoid sensitive areas such as meadows, lakeshores, wetlands and streams, unless on designated routes. This protects wildlife habitat and sensitive soils from damage.

Do your part by leaving the area better than you found it, properly disposing of waste, minimizing the use of fire, avoiding the spread of invasive species, restoring degraded areas, and joining a local enthusiast organization.

A Note on Land Usage Many Jeep Jamboree USA events are held on private lands with the consent of landowners, or on public lands through special use permits. In some cases, Jamboree trail groups are granted access to trail areas which are closed to all other vehicular access during the year.

Please be aware that access to these trail areas is allowed only by guided Jeep Jamboree USA groups during the scheduled Jeep Jamboree trail rides. Individual Jamboree guests returning later to drive in these areas on their own do so in violation of Jeep Jamboree USA’s land use agreements and endanger future Jamboree usage of these restricted trails as well as being removed from the Jamboree without a refund.

What is the refund policy? We realize that unexpected events such as work conflicts, mechanical problems and illnesses may cause you to cancel your trip. However, we have many business partners that we pay deposits based on a preliminary participant count. What if a specific Jeep Jamboree is canceled? Though incredibly rare, from time to time, a Jeep Jamboree may have to be canceled. For most of our events, you will be given the option to receive a full refund or transfer your registration to another event that has openings. For some Jeep Jamborees, we may deduct up to a 15% fee from your refund to offset unrecoverable expenses. Due to unforeseen circumstances all trips, events, and trails are subject to change or cancellation without advance notice.
